If the Rams don't turn the ball over they win 17-0. This is what I've been saying their biggest enemy is themselves.

I thought Staley was their worst enemy?

.

Pretenders, but contenders.

Goff looked awful all game. Free rushers all game. Oline was awful.

Everett, really? Good luck with your next team.

Goff's salary:

2021: $34.6M
2022: $32.3M
2023: $31.8M

We can opt out before 2023 for only a $8.6M cap hit.....

So only 2 1/2 more times around the sun

And fuck Bonameintheassgo and our entire ST unit this year

Cool. Take it out on the Seahawks then use the bye to make some needed alterations to our offense. Put in and practice plays vs the Zero blitz. Get Van Jefferson and Cam Akers more opportunities and bring back the hurry up to the line shit and keep the misdirection and movement in the backfield but add more quick slants and if Goff is under distress, don't hang him out to dry on long developing plays.

Seriously though, played right into the strength of the Dolphin's defense. Has there ever been a game where McVay ran the ball more than he passed? The ONLY game I can think of was the playoff game against Dallas, but I don't even have the stats to confirm that. We need an independent offensive coordinator almost as bad as we need a competent kicker.

This is horse caca.... in the first half we had close to even pass to run ratio- until the clock got low.

Down by 18 when we got the ball in the 3rd quarter - we ran the ball TWICE in a row... ended up punting.

Still down by 18 we get the ball back again in the 3rd quater - TWO of our first THREE plays were running plays.

Our TD drive down by 18 in the 4th quarter. OUR FIRST THREE plays were running plays.

We didn't really stop running until there was 6 min left in the game.

McVay needs to give Goff the Jimmy G treatment in games like this. When your QB is shitting the bed and your play calling isn't helping, ride your run game until the opposing defense shows they can stop it. There's nothing wrong with having your QB be a game manager in these situations. Why have a three headed rushing attack when you refuse to let them cook?

Use the RUN to setup the PASS. Not the other way around!

It’s not losing... no one goes undefeated.

HOW we lose is beyond demoralizing

YES, we traveled 4 times to the East Coast in 8 weeks.

YES, the former NE coaches had two weeks to get after our O.

YES, that stadium, like Seattle, was designed to give a super unfair advantage to the home team. Players sitting in 140 degree heat is way too much of a home field advantage.

And still, we beat ourselves with uninspired play, unforced mistakes and really poor game planning.

It’s demoralizing af. This is the first season in awhile where if we get down early, I don’t like our chances and that includes our effort in Buffalo.

I dunno what the hell our O is about, but it seems we miss Cooks more than we knew as we just don’t have any deep game at all.

When you're down by 18 in the third quarter, you need THREE TOUCHDOWNS to take the lead - assuming the opposing offense scores 0 points. Any right-minded person would tell you that running the ball in those situations is too little too late when you've shown time and time again that you're going to go right back to the pass anyway. But yeah, let's continue to pretend that we ran the ball when the situation necessitated it.

All the blah blah blah about Tua nonstop prior and during the game, but he barely did anything. Solid defensive effort on our part as well as some glimmer from Akers. Reminds me of the super bowl where a defensive effort is wasted due to a shit-showing from the offense. Frustratingly inconsistent.

After we started 2-0 and then 4-1 and people on here were predicting 13-3 or 14-2 I was shocked. We can’t overcome good defenses. Last year Ravens, Steelers, Niners, even Cowboys. This year Niners, Dolphins. It will be a struggle to win 10 games this year. Possibly can drop to 8-8-the remaining schedule is brutal. I see us favored against the Jets. We can split against Seattle and AZ. I have a feeling the Niners, Bucs and Patriots D’s will own us.

The Ram D was nasty good today again.

Feel like our offense could have gone for 250 yds rushing today and avoided the turnovers to walk away from this with an efficient low scoring win. McV had other ideas i guess.

Mr excuses says too much travel, short week facing a team coming off their bye beat us, but i would say it's all of that plus a stubborn gameplan that put our QB in position to fail...and Goff answered that bell.

This one is on:

1. McVay. Too many promising drives were stalled because he went away from the run when it was working and when we were averaging over 5 yards per carry. I don't know what we finished at, but we were comfortably over 5 YPC in the first half. But as soon as we started getting deep in Miami territory, McVay started getting pass happy. Furthermore, he was doing so on a day when his QB was not playing well (more on that later). By the time McVay adjusted, we were in a huge hole. The stupid empty set formations that told them we weren't going to run cost us big today, because they saw that we weren't going to run, teed off, and caused turnovers. It also caused us to have to settle for a FG at the end of the first half when a TD would have been a huge momentum booster.

McVay seems to have been off his game for multiple weeks in a row now. The 49ers game was obviously a stinker. The Bears game was kind of so-so (I think the Rams could have easily scored more than 24). And today he was just gawd-awful. Didn't he hire an OC to whisper in his ear in situations like today? Is O'Connell whispering, or is McVay just ignoring him.

2. Goff. Just a mess for most of the game today. Missed too many open receivers, bad pocket awareness on a number of plays, and despite doing better later, the game could have been worse for him in the first three quarters. I realize his coach/playcaller didn't do him any favors today, but he's got to at least have the mental awareness to not let shitty playcalling turn into a disaster like that.

3. Special Teams. Giving up a punt return TD when we were already struggling was bad. KF missing the FG attempt was pretty bad as well. I can understand to a degree why they let GZ walk, he had some injury and consistency issues in recent years, and was going to cost a lot more than whoever they brought in. Still, they did not think this one through thoroughly enough.

4. Everett. Yes, I know it's only one play, but that drop at a critical juncture was just such a gutless play. And really it wasn't just that play, he missed some blocks and generally played bad today, didn't help his struggling QB or his team. We can bitch about Goff missing open receivers, but when he finds the open receiver and throws a perfect ball, the guy has to catch it. At this point, I'm about ready to wash my hands of Gerald. He's a great athlete, and his upside should be higher than Higs. But despite 3+ years in this offense, he still doesn't block well and still isn't consistent enough as a receiver. I'm ready to roll with Mundt and see what Hopkins can develop into. I just don't think Everett has it mentally to get better than he is now.

Generally, a gutless, shitty, stupid performance by the O and the ST.

I will give props to the D, and I won't grade them on a curve just because Miami started a rookie QB. The D played very well despite not getting any help whatsoever from the O and the ST, and did it down 4 starters. Feeling bad for Rapp who brought his A+ game only to see us lose.

Mid way through the season the story of our Rams is inconsistency. Specifically the Offense and special teams. The defense is absolutely balling right now. If the offense can get it clicking we have a pretty good shot at the playoffs. The rams would be wise to try out some kickers during the bye.

Lets rest up and make adjustments because we have a tough road ahead.

Yep. And I’m already done with Forbath. Dooooooone.
