Bro I feel you.

2:55 seconds left in the 4th quarter leading 20 - 13.

3rd & 3 Rams have the ball on the Browns 46 yard-line.

Single back formation Goff takes the snap under center play action etc...

THEY ONLY NEED 3 yards to get the first down and start forcing the Browns to burn timeouts.

Goff tunnel visions a 15 yard pass to Woods as if the Rams were trailing by 10 points.

I don't care if McVay called the play or if Goff was just being a stubborn tunnel vision maverick.

It was by far the most upsetting play of the young season.

It looked like Gurley was easily open for the middle check down to get 5 yards and the 1st down.

That was a (Situational Football) meltdown.

Goff needs to review that play 30 times and slap himself another 30 times for not taking the easy check down to #30.

Grrrrrrrrrr :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Pretty sure Goff indicated it was a bad decision he’ll learn from in the post game presser

Not going to throw McVay under the bus, although last night wasn't one of his better outings as a playcaller. As for that last pick, Jared did throw a bad ball, but I hated the playcall in the first place. It was third and three at the Cleveland 46. You just run it up the gut there, if you get it, great, if not, Hekker is punting from a point where he can pin the Browns deep and make them drive the length of the field against a defense playing lights out. It was just not good situational playcalling. I think McVay knows it too.

Pretty sure I watched Goff's post game interview 2 times and heard him say he'll learn from it.

There is no bigger advocate for #16 than myself.

It was still the most upsetting play of the young season and I still think Jared should slap himself 30 times when reviewing the film LOL ;)

Didn’t see the LB drop I assume.
Some have amazing game real time vision and some don’t.
It is maybe the biggest separator between really good and great.
Time will tell with Goff.
He routinely doesn’t see open receivers and locks in on guys.
But, this can be said for most QBs.
Patience is required.

Maybe.
Makes sense.
So does going for the win. Put the thing to bed.
If he ran up the gut and didn’t get it most of the fans whining about calling a pass would be bitching about McVay turning into Chuck Knox and being predictable.
Can’t win with the either or debates.

It was a stupid call.

Hand it to Gurley in that situation, don't get cutesy.

Is this post sarcastic?
That’s what I’m trying to figure out cause Daniel Jones played a helluva game and is insanely accurate. Plus the dude scored serious fantasy points if that’s a factor for anyone.

Some of that play calling just sucked and reminded me of Martz. 3rd and 2 and you don't run Gurley WTF. Also 8:30 left in the game and Gurley is not in there for the Rams possession. Oh, and let's not forget the timeout he called right before Reynolds made his first catch of the season for a 20 yard gain and a first down. Mcvay looked out of sorts and I know he is going to say during his press conference he has got to do better and he does. Goff seemed somewhat upset with him on the sideline after that 3rd and 2 play where they threw an incomplete pass.
Goff has a 3 game GPR of 38.2 and missed multi open receiver throws during a game that should have been a walk. McVay shares some responsibility, but Goff is the QB and team leader and is UNDER PERFORMING week after week.

How many of our problems get solved or at least get alleviated when Blythe and Higbee return??

McVay talks about executing better - which is, uh yeah, duh - but he could maybe be a tad more flexible at switching things up play calling wise where we didn't have to worry about executing plays we are struggling with.

You look at that play and see Gurley probably scores a touchdown he was that open and I think that’s what McVay and Goff was talking about right after that play

I'm not mad at Goff or McVay or anyone really.

But If you watch the interactions on the sideline.. or look at McVay's face. It's pretty glaringly obvious to me that Goff doesn't run the call McVay wants many times, or goes the wrong place with the ball.

The fact that our QB and coach can disagree with each other without getting too heated and still pull a win shows greatness in our team.

My point was, how many dump offs in the middle have we seen to Gurley this year? It was something we used to hang our hat on a year or so ago. Yes, we've seen screens and swing patterns. But that little "you take it" throw has not happened. And we need it back.

And as for Daniel Jones.....we'll see how bright and shiny he looks when DCs get some film on him. It was also the Buccaneers....

OK let me see if I got all this. According to most we should, Trade/cut Gurley, start Bortles and scrap the o-line all together. Did I miss anything? Oh yeah make McVay wear a dunce cap for 3 games. What is our record again?

I think I know what you mean. Goff in shotgun and Gurley takes off at he snap and right away Goff tosses it to him.........that play right?

It usually netted nice gains.

McVay: 27-8 (not counting playoffs)

The ten years before McVay:

46-113-1 (no Fing playoffs)

I can’t wait for your list of college coaches the Rams should consider.
Jumped up Jesus Christ.
Well, we might be having a little over reaction to the over reaction.
Personally everything happening this season so far, is relatable to the poor showing in the SB and some of the later games last year. I see some carry over and it has me worried. I think it is a legit concern. This is where I come to vent those worries. Then by Thursday I'm usually good to go. I'm happy with a win, but I can see some worrisome trends. I dont want a new head coach or QB. I like all of you want to win a super bowl.

Goff made some unbelievable moves in the pocket last night. His decision making is still a work in progress. But his pocket awareness has improved dramatically this year.

He’s not a terrible QB. Still a top 10 guy. Peyton Manning has a couple years of throwing a ton of INTs. Goff will be fine. I think he lights up the Bucs next week.

Honestly, that play I wouldn't mind having Gurley be the primary receiver. Leak out a little bit to the left side to get away from the linebacker, and you're giving Gurley the ball in stride with 10 yards between him and the closest defender, I like his chances of getting a big chunk of yardage there.
