So what was people’s take on Mannion?
169 yards on 20 completions isn’t great and considering 50 of that was on a catch that I still can’t believe they called a catch.
He’s slow, everything from his feet to his release. That said, his arm is much stronger than I realized. And had they not dropped a bunch of passes, his numbers would have been much better.
Overall I give him a c. Which is all you could really expect playing with 2nd stringers against a team much hungrier

I honestly didn’t watch the game close enough to have solid observations, but I definitely think any grade should be on a curve, as you’ve said.

Man.... @I like Rams .....totally agree bro....what the hell was that? Check down Sally? Not even trying to win....yeah there were some drops...bunch of them...Everett...geez...Tavon...expected...Pharoh dropped one too, huh? And Reynolds... I saw a bunch of that Beaver in him....the one without Cook. To ME...it looked like he didn't even practice this week....nor has a clue of how to play in the NFL. Seriously....

If there isn't someone better our there...that's a shame....I'd take about 5 QB's I've seen play in college this last week....and not the big names either...

Unfortunately I don't have a lot of faith in the back-ups on the OL. I suspect he'll be spending a lot of the day running for his life.

I think this could be a disaster and he could get killed behind a 2nd team O line.

In a game where our starting LT Andrew Whitworth & OC John Sully does not play & Darrell Williams & Austin Blythe starting :notsure: Mannion will be lucky to get the ball handed off.
Man, the line played well...better than expected...wouldn't you agree, Boni????
I think it's unfair to expect too much of Mannion. All I want to see is that he acquits himself well.
5th year....how'd he acquit himself?? Look around the backup QB landscape? I will say....the drops didn't help him....but he was terribly inaccurate....almost comical the way he was throwing 3 yard passes when we needed 8.

Happy New Year Champ !
Yes... I was expected much worse. I posted a little bit on this already but I want to go & re watched the OL in its entirety, before going detailed in what I have seen.

I say this at the moment that the reserve OL did not loose that game yesterday it was the defense. I also would have preferred to see more of Lance Dunbar mixed in with Brown & less TA. If you don't mind I will get back with you later this week when I have time ...house is full of Grand-kids & they are running wild riot :pillowfight:& I need to get out the chemical mace & my old thick wide 1969 flower power belt.:giveup:

and the offense too....scoring woulda helped the defense out....but defense...a bunch of guys people like...just....just ....Les needs to keep drafting....but I will say....Williams body is looking a lil better built...only guy I didn't like too much was #72....who's he anyway?
I also would have preferred to see more of Lance Dunbar mixed in with Brown
Lance looked pretty good huh? I did think he shoulda played more...maybe they are saving him?

I think that’s fair I would give him a C too. He faced a lot of pressure and didn’t get much help. I also don’t think McVay really wanted them throwing downfield much. When they did though he was successful

I think alot of the pressure Mannion was faced with was self inflicted. Dude looked pressured even when the oline was giving him time to make a decent decision.

I think Mannion will be battling with Allen next year for the backup role. I wouldnt doubt if we bring in a later round QB to compete too. Mannion looked ok yesterday under the circumstances but he is no lock to make the team next year.

Really, with 4th string offensive lineman, with everyone basically making their first start on offense and he did avoid a lot of pressure he was pressured on almost every play but they had only what 2 sacks come on. You think they really did any game planning on this game.
They barely ran any zone splits or stretches all they did was the boot leg that’s it, and when McVay called for something to go downfield he took his shots and delivered dude is a 3rd year pro making his first start lmao

Its possible but not guaranteed. He never really had any competition for the backup job unless you count Orlovsky lol? Allen was claimed off waivers after preseason so he never had a chance to play for the Rams.

Lol I knew I should have avoided this thread.

He is in his 3rd year not 5th year. And if you didn’t notice the way McVay was calling plays then just watch the game again. McVay was just trying to get out there. After Mannion took those early hits McVay went ultra conservative couldn’t get the running game going and No one was able to help Mannion out. It seems like every receiver need perfect ball placement needs the pass to be just soft enough unless of course it’s talking about Goff.

And the offensive line didn’t play well no push too many free runners coming at Mannion guys getting beat right off the snap I definitely don’t know what game you watched

Unbelievable @LACHAMP46, you left @Florida_Ram out of this group?

I'm hurt and crushed like Matt Ryan is going to be after his Falcons get eliminated next Saturday.

My grade for Mannion yesterday: "He Sucked, Bad!"

I thought he'd bring much more to the table. Frankly, was shocked with his poor performance.

Who played good I bet you would give Everett an A+ right or the offensive line right. Yep great analysis
