With all due respect, I can't relate to what you are saying. The original poster is not a resident of Missouri, correct? If so, for someone not to enjoy a team they love have a winning seasons and a trip to the playoffs is beyond me.

Legatron wants the Rams to stay, so the cloud of will they, won't they, is going to hang over the entire season.

He's from Missouri, a resident of the city IIRC. As a resident myself, I can attest to the fact that if we have a winning season and they move that will be enough to get me to quit the NFL.

This is a very interesting take on the STL market that I haven't heard anyone talk about yet. I guess he (Daniel Kaplan) got his hands on the market assessment report. He's the guy that broke the news about ticket sales in STL a couple of weeks ago, he has credibility. This market study might give Stan enough wiggle room and justify a move even if STL builds a stadium. Minimal cooperate support might justify a move for the Rams.

Do you guys think Bernie's latest article was saying the same thing?

I live in buffalo actually. But, I became a fan of the STL Rams. I've been to the city enough times to know it like my own. So the fact that I have been to games and seen the suffering STL has been through with bad football, and now the team is going to leave on a possible playoff season? That's a kick in the nuts. I know they're originally from LA. But the whole situation looks like Stan is a big kid sitting on an ant hill with a magnifying glass. So it makes me hate Los Angeles.

I didn't know that Anheuser-Busch was pulling executives and possibly the factory out of St Louis, that's an interesting point. Shame if they do pull the factory out, because of the history there. Since it's no longer an American company though, I guess they don't have as much sentimental value on the place. Otherwise, sounds like he was agreeing with Bernie, the market study will show that fans like the Rams, but there's questions from the corporate guys, which of course is who they want to have on their side.

It'll be interesting if Peacock can convince those businesses to sign on, or if that'll even work (for keeping the Rams anyway), but if he's right and the NFL believes that the best they can do is middle of the pack, that might be somewhat damming. I think the NFL would like to see someone with Kroenke's weight up at the top, because that helps the rest of them out.

Bob Costas: Rams-Chargers LA Partnership ‘Makes Most Sense’
NBC Sports broadcaster and St. Louisan Bob Costas popped in on The Hollywood Casino Press Box Friday to discuss a number of different topics surrounding the St. Louis sports scene.

Listen to Costas Interview

Rams Talk Starts at 23:00

-------------------

St. Louis is worried about not having an NFL team in the near future. Does the Chargers and Raiders hiring Carmen Policy for the Carson project help their chances because of the perception Stan Kroenke isn't well liked among the owners?

"If you're just talking about personal relationships, that may be true. You have to remember the Raiders for a long time were a pain in the assets for the NFL. (Al Davis) seemed to live for conflict. And some owners...don't have that much affection for the Raiders, who also have been a very bad franchise for a long time and (people wonder why they should be rewarded). There's also a problem - in my mind at least - with two teams from the same conference going in to that market. If you're looking at it from a distance - and this is not an anti-St. Louis comment - it makes more sense for one AFC team and one NFC team to go into the No. 2 TV market so CBS gets its slice of the pie and so does Fox. Plus, whether we like it or not, the Rams have a history in Los Angeles. And San Diego actually has a percentage of its fan base coming from the Orange County area. The Rams...I have to say it to be honest, that makes sense to me. I'm not rooting for it to happen. I hope the Dave Peacock group comes through and things work out...or at the very least if we lose our team perhaps the Jaguars or some other team is brought in to replace it. But if you look at it from a distance, what makes most sense is the Chargers and the Rams."

I remember how pissed I was when the Rams left L.A., after being here for almost 50 years, and I've hated 'Queen Georgia' for it, all the way to her grave!
I don't want to see the Rams leave ST. Louis, Because the Fans their are Great and that's were the "GSOT" was born!
BUT!! I'll jump for joy if they come HOME to L.A.!! So, I believe 'All True Rams Fans' well do one thing IF the move happens ...

So it makes me hate Los Angeles.

I don't agree with hating LA because a money hungry billionaire decides he needs more money. Nothing that they/it has done has/will have any impact what so ever on Stan and the NFL. There's simply more people in LA than St Louis, it doesn't come down to anything more complicated than that.

Now the "Bring the Rams back to LA" crowd and "LA trolls" on other forums who will convince themselves that they personally had an impact on the decision, along with my hatred for Stan and his hired goons will make it easier to stop watching the team than it should be if the time comes.

Well said Bernie (did I really just say that?) when there's a report one minute saying that Carson is in the lead, then the next minute saying that Rams to LA is a done deal, then a third report collaborates the second reporter's story, then the second reporter changes his mind, and the first reporter changes his mind ad nauseam it indicates that no one has any idea what they're talking about.

If there's one thing I've learnt during this entire saga it's don't let yourself get too high on one report and too low on another.
I was just saying to myself as I read the post about Jason cole, "Didn't this guy JUST say that the Chargers and Raiders are more likely to head to LA?" Some of these guys have been all over the damn place as far as this go and to let your mood go up or down based on what they say is complete madness.

Really? I will agree that there are schmucks in every crowd and I can see why you'd feel defenseless against some of there words, but anyone honestly believing that words typed in a football forum could have any bearing on the outcome of this is delusional and you can tell them I told you so. This is about $$ period. The same thing that screwed us before and might screw you now...

Los Angeles is a great city and so is St. Louis in the end it's unfortunate, but IMO all of us should want what is best for the Rams and both venues offer so much. I would like the Franchise to stabilize and just focus on winning football games because that is the ultimate antidote for success no matter if you play in L.A., St. Louis or Tipperary!

Both cities have great fans and a great sports history. The hating on another city just baffles me. I hope, if the Rams move, to be cheering for our team together for many years to come. But there are some, on each side of this situation, that see only negativity and think that if you say something positive about one city it means you're attacking the other. There are boards and websites I and many others from each side of this debate won't go to anymore. Hell reddit it doesn't matter what you say or do. If you've said something positive once about LA you're downvoted and trolled for forever. Hopefully at the end of the day we can all still be Rams fans. I know I'm not changing, the only thing that would make me mad is if they move the Rams to the AFC.

This! It's both unfortunate and sometimes hard for people to see, that somebody they agree with on some stuff is a schmuck on other topics.
