Does this mean that Stafford can play QB? From all the off-season coverage its like the guy retired or something...
It’s only one game but there was a lot of talk about the elbow, his age, etc. To me, it seemed like McVay pulled the plug on him last year more than anything and for whatever reason experts didn’t think he could be the best qb in this division, which he clearly can. I think it’s fair to say that he’s feeling a little disrespected also which is great for us.

Jeffri Chadiha needs to be better at his job. "Lucky to win six games this year". Pffft.

Petie looked butt hurt during his press conference, after the game. I loved it! Like I have said in the past put a skirt on his arse and let him run up and down the sideline.

Pete was classy in his postgame and gave the Rams and McVay plenty of props.

Geez dudes I live in Tucson, I can't make TC, I'm reduced to watching the re-runs of the games. But I understand football and I talk to knowledgeable people like former coaches and players. I study film. I most certainly knew the Seahawks didn't match up to the talent on the Ram's roster this year. I publicly stated on this forum that the Rams if they played aggressively would win going away.

So if I knew this why didn't all the prognosticators know it? Because most are frauds. It's why I'm saying the Niners are a good team, but not unbeatable. It will be a true test of this OL and WRs. Yes the Rams will miss Kupp, who can't be replaced. The key will be for the defense to limit the Niner run attack. The Rams can't afford to allow Christian to beat them. Their entire offense is predicated upon balance. The Rams beat the Niners in the championship game by not playing a Fangio style front. It plays into the Niner's hand. It concedes the offensive advantage to the Niners. The Rams when they play a one gap attacking style have the ability to make Purdy uncomfortable.

The Niners still pass to win, with their run attack being complimentary to that strong passing attack. Shanny uses the run to set up the pass. The Rams try to run enough to force the defense to honor the run. I think the Niner OL has taken a step back. Morris needs to turn his dogs loose from the first snap and make Purdy uncomfortable.

The offense needs a fast start and to force the Niners to play from behind. The OL looked really good Sunday. Next week will be the true test of how good they are. I'm concerned about Havenstein who struggled when left uncovered. I think we will see a lot of 12 personnel this game.

McCaffery will get his yards. The key is not to allow him to beat you. The Niner passing attack is centered around two WRs in Aiyuk and Deebo. If you have to take away one take away Aiyuk. Aiyuk will cut DK up if he plays like he did against Metcalf. Morris needs to quit playing his buddy and start Durant and Tomlinson or Shelley.

This Star CB shit is BS. If Durant is your best coverage CB and he is, then start him outside and play Shelley at SCB. The Rams have the CBs to match up well if Morris simply plays his best guys and Kendrick isn't one of them. He's playing better but that isn't good enough next week. As long as Kendrick is out there the Niners will put Aiyuk on him. There is no way DK holds up. The Hawks were stupid. Metcalf exposed the weakness in the secondary and the Hawks failed to exploit it. They moved Metcalf around instead of forcing Kendrick to stop him every play. I don't expect the Niners to be so dumb.

Again this season is about coaching and Morris needs to sit his ego.

L.A. Rams 30-13 over Seattle

Rams
It looks like Matthew Stafford finally figured out how to relate to his younger teammates. Stafford silenced his critics with a 334-yard performance that proved that he does still seem to have it. Tutu Atwell and Puka Nacua both ran circles around the Seahawks secondary as reach receiver finished with exactly 119 yards. Defensively, the Rams didn't let the Seahawks have a single drive that went longer than 10 yards during a wildly impressive second half. This was a statement win for a Rams team that most people wrote off before the season even started.

Seahawks
If Pete Carroll is smart, he'll set fire to all the film from the second half of this game. After jumping out to a 13-7 halftime lead, the Seahawks got steamrolled in the second half. Their offense and defense both suffered a total collapse. The offensive failures were probably worse, with the Seahawks only putting up 12 total yards over the final two quarters. Not to be outdone, the Seahawks defense surrendered more than 300 yards of offense to the Rams in the second half. It was a total failure and the ugly part for the Seahawks is that it came at home against a division rival that they were favored to beat.

Because their darlings had a big win, so it's wall to wall Cowboys. Gonna be insufferable this year if they keep winning.

There's truth to this but I think it's entirely reasonable for people to look at the Rams win and say the 1st week games can be really wonky and probably won't give us attention till we prove this type of execution over and over again.
