Have McVay and Snead typically acted with subterfuge or is that just wishful thinking...More smoke and mirrors... make me think they'll take a center if "their guy" is there at 57.
I think they do, it’s like they love everyone not knowing.Have McVay and Snead typically acted with subterfuge or is that just wishful thinking...
It'll be Corbett when all is said and done.
Shelton is 285 lb and is wet behind the ears.
Allen would have to have improved in leaps and bounds from what we saw during his last attempt.
Corbett knows the offense, he knows the snap count and he knows the line calls.
I can’t believe that McVay is comfortable with either Allen or Shelton as the starting center on a team that he thinks has a Championship roster, especially after seeing how the player that was better than both, got beat like a red headed stepchild in the Rams last Super Bowl appearance.
Think you're right. McVay likely doesn't want to rule out the existing centers before camp, I mean he has to give them a chance... but I think the fact that he mentioned the guards clearly tips his hand.
I really feel Quinn Meinerez is their guy and they've met with him multiple times. If history shows anything a high percentage of our picks have come from guys they've met with.Have McVay and Snead typically acted with subterfuge or is that just wishful thinking...

Just like they wanted to keep Blythe around. Lies.

I feel he is our pick if he is there at 57 and if not we trade down.
I wonder if the QB maxim is true for Centers? ”If you have more than one Center, then you really don’t have any Centers.”Imo this is meaningful. McVay wouldn't have said "guards" if they weren't in play, and more than one of them.
Clearly Corbett is in the mix. Could still be Anchrum too. Not sure what other guards he could be referencing.
Suggests to me that camp competition could be very interesting at center, even if we draft one.
Coach speak.
It's wise to talk up current players as if they have a shot at starting.
Even if they don't.
