Wow, nice shack...I love it except for the salt water pool...Not sure I understand the allure of that...And though if you can afford the house this wouldn't be a problem, but I wonder what he'll spend on maintenance, maids, landscaping etc...That would we more than I make a year...

That probably means it has a saltwater system instead of the old fashioned chlorine system. It's not really saltwater. That's the preferable type of water cleaning system in pools these days... you don't burn your eyes etc with the harsh chlorine.

I have actually seen pools filled with saltwater though... Ernest Hemingway had one in his house in Key West, but that's only because a chlorine system,,, or any cleaning system,,, wasn't available to him there at the time.

It's pretty popular is Southern California, and now their are UV systems also, where the Sun filters, and destroys all bacteria.

It sold for 895,000 three years ago. So how is it valued at 4.5 million? Did the realities Jack the prices because there are 50+ rich NFL players moving to town?

Article says it's a newly built house, so my guess is the land was sold to developer

Most likely a foreclosure. Lots of that still going on.

Salt is a pure chlorine generator. Instead of your typical nasty chlorine smell and burn, you have a mild saltiness and smooth feel to the water. I had one installed at a property I once managed. I wouldn't have a pool without one. And it is actually cheaper to operate and maintain.
