I like what we have right now. But he will be missed. His spirit and his leadership. Wish him the best of luck. Maybe he will be back in a few years.

Best of luck to JJ3, his leadership role could whip that Browns defense into shape; they're talented but can get hotheaded

Man.

I remember the last time we picked an EDGE over a better football player that signed for less than what we thought he would, it didn't work out well. Hoping I'm wrong about this one

Might be able to squeak a 4th round comp but I'd think a 5th is more likely. Unless, like mentioned, if this weird cap year throws off the formulas for next year. But so far this has been a fairly typical free agency.
I still think it might end up as a late 4th round comp pick for 2022 yet.

Browns are going to have a really good defense.

JJ was a bit of a question mark draft pick for some. Showed he was a great 3rd round pick.

Gonna miss this dudes brains and toughness. Good luck JJ, and thanks for all you did as a Ram (especially the pick that put us in the SB).

One of my favorite rams. Sad to see him go. Cleveland seems to be on the rebound so at least he did not go for a money grab.

I'll miss JJ. I think the Rams defense will too. He's one of my facvorites as soon as he was drafted.

I wonder if Cleveland blew the other teams out of the water with their offer. They could use the leadership and I don't think JJ lets them down. But that would be a tough move for me, Southern California to Cleveland Ohio is my idea of going from the living room to the half bath under the stairwell.

How in the hell do we choose Floyd over JJ3? I know we have depth at safety, but JJ3 is one heck of a player. Floyd is, too, but he disappeared in way too many games. It seems we could've kept Johnson and Fox for the price of Floyd.

And then JJ could sit on Fox's shoulders to play EDGE? Not following your logic here. ;)

I think he answered his own question with depth The Rams have.Floyd does so many things. He is a harder player to find or replace. He is just starting to come into his own.

I agree.

Floyd was a complete non factor without AD. He got half his sacks in two games - even with AD in the regular season.

So he's a completely average pass rusher. Which means we signed him for the other things he does well which is fine.

Except JJ is a better football player than him. I prefer to keep better football players.

Two years ago we signed Fowler over Saffold and that turned out to be the worst move of the McSnead era (letting Saffold walk)
