I love the Gurley for MVP talk, but just giving Goff his share of love. None of us expected him to be this good so early.

Goff: 22/38, 301 yards, 4 TD, 0 Int.

QBR? 31.1..... :ROFLMAO:

Can we finally be done with this random BS non-statistic?

Btw Mariota: 22/39, 275 yards, 0 TD, 1 Int.

QBR...? 41.0. I mean J.F.C!

Mariota actually had a QBR of 44.9 earlier this season on a 4 Int game and his QBR on the season, 12 TD, 15 Int is 55.4. Goff's at 28 TD, 7 Int is 48.4. I mean wtf BSPN?!

There's a million examples just like this one of this failed experiment and they just keep shoving it down our throats. Seppuku would be the proper thing to do in feudal Japan. Either fix it or shut the shit down lolol. Where's the accountability??

QBR really is a terrible stat. It’s a made up statistic based on completely random things by ESPN. It’s a stat that rewards QBs for playing bad. I mean, all the terrible QBs seem to have great QBRs.

QB rating isn’t perfect but it’s a much more simpler concept and more accurate in statistically ranking QBs.

They coaching staff needs to coach up the Wr’s on how to get open when Goff Rolls right on those Off schedule plays where Goff escapes the pressure and buys time to his right.

Goff is doing a tremendous job of escaping would be sacks and he does this maybe 3-5 times a game but often his WR’s are late to adjust to what is going on and he has to throw the ball away.

Once they get that down Goff will be unstoppable. He already is putting up MVP performances and numbers in big games like Philly, Seattle and today.

those 24 yards running mariota had are worth more than 4 tds in that fucked up stat.

espn wanted running qbs on top of the pile. when it came out they explained that they wanted to show how important running is for the qb's overall performance. that the passer rating wasn't fair to qbs that could run but couldn't pass efficiently.

it's an appalling stat.

It's the RGIII/Kaepernick stat and just like those 2 QBs it needs to go away.

And he's in year one of a system that he's made plenty of mistakes in. This could be his floor, guys.

This is his floor. He can get better and more consistent. Easily pass at a 65-70 percent clip. He will, too. He’s a worker.

Goff has done a good job of getting the ball to Gurley. And without Gurley's contribution, chances are he doesn't come close to those numbers. Hence Gurley for MVP talk.

It gives a lot of credit for QB runs because they are into that.
Which is the same as rewarding bad QBs.

Goff should have been named to the pro bowl, and I don't mean as an alternate.

That's it.
ESPN thought they saw the future and were getting in line with it. Like most stupid people inputting stupid ideas, they can't admit their mistakes.

And our tougher part of the schedule was in the second half of the year. But that's what happens when you break in a new system. There's a period of adjustment.

Here's a better QB comparison...

Jared Goff - NFC Western Division Champion! :yess:

Marcus Mariota - Not so much... :help:
