Jaguars getting a uniform makeover, too

The Jaguars are serious about rebranding themselves, now that they’re actually good at football.

In addition to today’s announcement that they’re removing the tarps from EverBank Field (and raising ticket prices almost 11 percent), they also said they’re getting new uniforms and helmets for the 2018 season, which will be unveiled later this spring.

That’s welcome news, as their current get-ups (home and road) are a mess of colors, and the two-tone helmet never really took off the way some marketing genius must have thought they would.

Perhaps the Tom Coughlin influence and the winning that came with old-school football will lead them to a more traditional style.

And if nothing else, it’s good news for Vince McMahon and the XFL, since he can pick up the hand-me-downs at the yard sale and have one of his teams outfitted for 2020.

probably because their paper work didn't sit on Demoff's desk for 7 years

If you have to give the NFL two years notice for a uniform change, the Jaguars notified the NFL back in 2016 they would be changing their uniforms, the Rams did not want to change their uniform until they moved into the new stadium, thus why the new Ram uniform will take longer.

Yep irritating as F. The Jags have changed theirs twice of late now, and the Rams couldn't be bothered to at least put one in to match the new helmet for now.

All I can say is the new uniforms better look great. If they F that up I'm gonna lose my $#!T.

In the end I believe it will be the Blue & Canary Yellow uniform as the primary with some updates on it as Demoff has learned how passionate the fans are about those color combinations and I also believe the blue & whites will be the throwbacks...This way everyone in Los Angeles young & old will be happy.

Thats honeztly my guest as well. Makes the most sense while putting the old STL gold at a distance.

I just wish the Cowboys would get rid of the seafoam green pants. They were slightly green to appear more silver on old Tv's. We have HD now. It's annoying.

Those are some butt ugly unis and helmets too.

IMO I think the NFL is going to do some retro twist unis, and I think they should copy what the NBA just did since the NBA is 10 times better at marketing, imaging, working with their players union and well pretty much everything.

Google what they did........they themed uniforms for each team based on the city they play in. It was VERY cool.
