Sunday/Monday will be the first ever game I watch in the UK the era of streaming.

After 15 seasons watching every Rams game live either on TV or attending, I'm stuck with shit start times and having to sign up for both Sky Sports as they have the rights to any Prime Times games before the play offs, AND NFL Game Pass.

Because I have to sign a contract with Sky that means I'm shelling £330 which is over $450 to be sure I can see all the game.

That is what it is if I want to see the games, but it still hurts after years of badgering DirecTv into giving me Sunday Ticket for free.

The game on Sunday kicks off for me at 1.20 am local time.

That's not a massive deal as I work for myself, but the wife has to be up at 6 am for work.

She's a fan, if not quite as rabid as me, and used to go with me to games all over the country and watch on TV.

Sooo, she wants me to record it and watch it together when she gets home on Monday.

That would mean me avoiding this board and every other NFL source I check all day Monday and I really love reading immediately after games.

I certainly don't want to know the score beforehand and she'll know in a heartbeat if I do and pretend otherwise, by my mood.

What do I do ffs?

Try sportsream.tv. Its free. You have to wade through initial pop-ups, but once you get there it sterams great.

Lie like a SOB and watch the game!

Metaphorically, of course. I don't want you to get into trouble

Well avoiding this board on gamedays is easy. Seen the GDTs the past few years? Oye.

Tell her you're going to watch it, not tell her the score and then watch it again with her. There's only one season opener each year.

As far as watching, there are several streams each week that are free and work quite well.

I feel your pain, I'll be watching on a delay since I need be in the classroom Monday morning first thing, and because it'll be filled with graduate students I can't really just phone it in, so getting 3 hours of sleep wont work.

I'll likely check the score and highlights in the morning before class, and then watch the condensed version later on. It's annoying, but it is what it is.

Also, Sky can fuck itself for grabbing two games every Sunday and causing blackouts, no other country has to deal with that rubbish.

For your dilemma, if it was me, I'd go with watching it delayed with your wife, spouses and family should always come before sports. That's just me though.

2 choices
1) Watch the game, fake that you havent seen it and watch with her. When she figures it out she might get a little mad
OR
2) Avoid the game, ignore every way of finding out the outcome and watch with her.
Bad news is that curiosity will win out, you'll find out what happened and be pissed you didnt watch but still have to fake that you didnt watch it.
THEN she'll be a little mad that you watched without her, which you'll deny of course because you didnt actually watch the game, which will make her real mad you are lying, and then you'll get totally mad that you didnt watch and still havent seen the damn game....

Bottom line?
Watch the game live, it will be the best thing for all parties involved.. Lol

Ask her if she can take the day off?

Sleep from mid afternoon until game time then go to work after the game?

Are you a good actor? Watch it and pretned you didn't. It's a minor lying by omission for her entertainment purposes. Just act surprised at certain plays and cheer like hell for big plays as you normally would. Berate the refs if that's what you do. Get up during commercials and get snacks and stuff ready and if you miss a play (the 2nd time) ask what happened. But don't get it to where she suspects you've seen it and questions you. If that happens you could blow it. In other words be yourself and she'll still (unsuspectingly) have fun along with you.
You're doing this for her. :thumbsup1:

Yeah you have to watch it live. If she really loves you and is a real fan she'll understand. Then watch it again with her later while wearing your poker face. The toughest part will be watching it without giving up who won

Do what any good husband will do. Watch the game, lie about it and watch it with her the next day. Of course, if she were a great wife she'd watch it with you live and call in sick in the morning. Problem solved.
