Good stuff from Freese.

Did you guys hear about the guy who caught Freese’s ball? He ended up sticking it straight in his pants as soon as he got it, to prevent people from trying to steal it. He was escorted to the clubhouse where he gave the ball to Freese and got a signed ball by the whole team and a bat signed by Freese. Then he and his buddy were taking pictures with the whole team.

Funniest part of that story? The guy’s friend was wearing a Cubs shirt, and you can see in all the pictures this guy wearing a Cubs shirt in the Cards’ clubhouse.

LOL he didn't catch it...he jumped the fence and fell on it. It was an amazing moment...hell I would've done the same thing.

How bout Jake Westbrook? The guy was used very little this entire postseason and he comes in to deliever a scoreless inning against the Rangers hitters when it seemed like they always had an answer after the Cards tied the game throughout this game. Once that happened you just knew the Cards were winning. Im still shocked. The Rangers always had an answer. They had back-to-back HRs in the 7th and ended up taking a 7-4 lead. After the Cards tied it they answered, once again, with a 2 run bomb from Hamilton. Amazing game.

Its just amazing to look back at the stuff that happened before the 7th inning. Sloppy play, missed opportunities for both teams. The Cards had 3 hits on Lewis, but still managed to get 4 runs! I still dont understand how the Cards are in a bases loaded, 1 out situation and Matt Holliday gets picked off at 3rd base. How often does that happen???

Also have to mention this just because of how crazy this play was. Lohse comes in to bunt in the 10th. Everyone knows it, but all that matters is how he executes it. It wasnt a good bunt, and im pretty sure that if Beltre wasnt expecting a bunt he catches that for the out. It was just an amazing play to me because that wasnt a properly executed bunt and it still worked perfectly because the entire defense knew it was coming.
