Wilson has grown considerably since he came into the NFL. He was really just a game manager earlier in his career. He's become a real force at QB.

I don't like him though and I sorta agree with @Selassie I that he comes off as fake. In an interview right after the SB loss to the Patriots he said he felt "God was testing me". It wasn't anything else other than your HC called a stupid play and the worst possible time and the worst possible place.

I think Goff will also improve and be in the same category as Wilson. But I will like Goff a lot more than Wilson.

Right now Wilson has probably played 3 times as many games and for any player that provides an edge.

@Riverumbbq it looked like the defender took a shot at Goff's face on that block. Literally jammed his face it looked like.

Goff is a better QB than Russell Wilson because Goff is the Rams QB. Wilson sucks because he is the Seahawks QB. The most important stat is the one that notes the team they play for.

Sure, Wilson, in a perfect football vacuum, without any team name or the pukeass ugly sea-foam alge-green colored uniform - in that vacuum, maybe I could give him credit for all of his skills.... but in reality he stilll plays for the stupid ass fucking seahawks, so statistically speaking, based on the most important stat of all, Wilson is not as good as Goff.

I like how when he's cheerleading none of his teammates pay any attention to him.

Good Catch

Last night when he was the chosen cheerleader (for no other reason than he was mic'ed) and he had to lead the cheer with his whole team around him with their hands in the middle.... umpa said "Team on 3" (or something close to that)... when he got to 3... maybe 4 or 5 players said team... nobody screamed it out... and the rest of the team didn't even say anything.

Well, carry on with your Pete and Midget party then. IDGAS

He's just being completely honest. Wilson is WAY BETTER than Goff. It's sad, but it is indeed true. It's not a "pete and midget party" if it's absolutely true. Do we wanna talk factual football or do we want to fantasize that Goff is better? :)

It is hard to compare Goff and Russell Wilson at this point in their careers. And for those of you that keep saying that Wilson has played in 2 super bowls and won 1, and 7 playoff appearances (or whatever)... let's be honest here... He was drafted on a team with arguably the best defense in the NFL. It's not like they were in those 2 super bowls because of him. He has been playing great this year though. JMHO.

Wilson has frequently carried that offense throughout his career. Especially in the 4th quarter. Strange that some NFC west fans can't give the man his due.

I LIKE Russell Wilson and respect him as a football player. He is one of the better QB's in the league right now. I was only trying to point out that we should not be giving him all the credit for the success the Seahawks had. IIRC, even his own teammates grew tired of him getting all of the credit.

I wouldn't give him all the credit either. Same for Goff. That is a media thing.

No offense, but it did sound like you were giving him all the credit for the Seahawk's success.

An interesting stat would be how many times he's moved the chains in the 4th quarter by running in his career.

"might" would be a long way to go given Russel Wilson's first 8 seasons: 7 playoffs, 2 super bowls, 1 Lombardi.
Sure. But the point is we don't know. It is very possible and keep in mind the pocket QBs of the modern age can have very long careers with the current protection rules.

Goff's current count is 2 playoffs and 1 Super Bowl. Long way to go.

Both Suoerbowls Wilson was lead by his defense not his arm.

The legion of doom was the number 1 defense and the reason they made it.

Goff lead the Rams with a #1 offense.

There is no comparison.

Last year Wilson sucked vs the Cowboys while Goff in the same year beat the same Cowboys and the Saints on the road.
