I like her because she seems sweet, but Kay Adams doesn't like the Rams.

She doubted all last year, and then revealed on one show "this team hurt me"...She had family that worked in the St Louis Rams organization and she herself helped out at times. She was also involved with the MLB Cardinals in St Louis. She always pumps the brakes if at all possible where the Rams are concerned, imo.
That's ok, I get where she is coming from. She's young enough that the St. Louis Rams were her home team, she probably had no attachment to the Big Red when they were there. Very similar to me when as I grew up an LA Ram fan beginning in the '70's. When Georgia moved the team it was like my heart got ripped out of my chest. I tried to let them go but when I watched the first game in Busch with the Rams in blue/gold, I knew I couldn't change allegiances. When we won the Bowl, I was the happiest dude in the world. I envied St. Louis, just as she is envious of LA now and feels betrayed. When they do win, I bet she comes around if she is truly a Rams fan.

I’m good with the background noise being all about the Rams.

Kay Adams annoys me....the show annoys me after 15 minutes of that group yelling at each other.

I’m in training mode now, gearing up.

All that shit bounces off but I hope the 9ers get sick of it!

We're deep on the DL and at CB. We can address our other defensive depth needs in the Draft.

DL depth is ok but there is still a huge drop off from Donald, Suh, Brockers. I wouldn't want to count on Easley for a whole season or Westbrook/Smart as a starter. Hopefully the draft fixes a lot of depth issues but it's no guarantee that a few injuries can't destroy our season. All though, it is nice to now expect a top 5-10 offense AND defense. It's unlikely, knock on wood, we'd have injuries to derail both sides of the ball. Hopefully we don't have to worry about either though.

I wasn't saying anything bad about her, she can dislike them all she wants. But I would bet that most who watch the show don't know the basis of her ant-Ram bias....Only reason I said anything.

I'm loving the hype...

I'm just excited to see them hit the field.
We had the #1 Offense last year - and it was exciting to watch, we've added Brandin Cooks to the mix, as much as I loved Sammy in horns, Cooks is a better WR.
We've arguably got the best STers in the NFL (Once GTL gets better)
We've upgraded our D from good to scary good.

Its almost like McVay is playing Madden and seeing who he can upgrade at which positions!

I'm loving the damn hype!!!

I'm all in on the hype, too!

Just one thing.

With DeShaun Foster, the Texans averaged 40pts/game. If he doesn't get injured, they might fall to 35 or even 33pts per game, but that would have been the #1 offense.

The upside is that Cooks is significantly better at what McVay wants to do than Sammy ever was or could be, imho.

I rewatched last season a little bit ago and I was shocked at even at 30pts/game that there were so many plays still left on the field.

We saw IN SEATTLE that this team could drop 33 on a legit team in a single half of play. And we saw we could shut out a legit team.

This team with Cooks is significantly more dangerous than it was last year expressly because our deep threat will actually be deep in the offense. I actually think this offense, even as teams target Goff and any tendencies he might have, will be more productive.

Here's the rub. We might score less points.

What I mean is that if the D really gels like we think it might, then I could see McVay not trying to drop a 40 or 50 burger on everyone and simply taking the win and moving on.

I'm so excited about this team and this will definitely be the best offense we've seen since the GSOT as well as the best D since the Fearsome Foursome.

IFF this team lives up to its potential, we're in for a wild and crazy ride, hopefully to the Lombardi!!!

Agree. I know you weren't saying anything bad, I think I was concurring with you, not piling up on her at all. Just offering additional background from my perspective. I remember before last year's Thursday night game vs. 49ers and she was the only one who picked the Rams to lose. To me that showed her bias (hurt feelings?).

No need to pump the brakes. The moves the Rams have made are pretty damn exciting and as fans, why the hell would we want to pump the brakes? I don't even get the concept.

I actually enjoyed watching the Texans too :) I love fun offenses and the Rams were definitely fun to watch.

I’ve not re-watched last year’s games (yet) but I do seem to remember there were some plays that could have been executed better, even with our high scoring games, some drives just stalled. Now i’m Not sure if that was personnel, play calling or execution, but I’m really excited to see Cooks in McVay’s offense. I know he tried to get him from the Saints before Sammy, so he’s obviously got ideas for him.

With regards to putting up 40pts + on everyone, the way I see it, if we continue to iron out the errors and keep drives moving, the score line is going to improve and IF the D will click then that’s a bonus too!!

I’d like to see our red zone production improve though ;-)

Well, yes - if your starters on the DL are two all pros and a near pro bowl player, then any replacements are not going to be nearly as good. Of course, that can be said about pretty much any star player on any team. But the Rams are in a position where a short term replacement for any of those 3 will have two dominating players next to them, so the drop off will be limited.

I'm hyped about the off season moves but, like Snead said the Rams are still 11 games behind last year.

I rewatched last season a little bit ago and I was shocked at even at 30pts/game that there were so many plays still left on the field.

There were lots of stalled drives that resulted in 3 point FGs. I never considered the Rams the "#1 offense" as special teams and defense added to their point total. The good defenses slowed the Rams down last year. The good news is Goff is going to get better with faster reads and improved throws (including scrambling). Cooks and the deep ball should be much better this year too.

I want to see the new defense in action. Still have some concerns on pass rush and LBer play. Depth on both sides of the ball is a concern. I'm in Eagle country and they got better too. The Eagle fans are a taking notice and deep down the Rams are making them very nervous. I'm not taking anything for granted.

I've waited 13 years to brag and gloat over my Rams. Now that they are part of the SB conversation I'll be damned if I lay off. All my friends that root for other teams are getting an ear full.

Yep, if we don’t have bad luck no reason not to ride the hype train.

There's a huge drop off because our starters are that good, not because of the depth being bad.

A few bad injuries can ruin anyone's season, but we're better equipped than most.

Not surprising that Kay Adams is pooping on the Rams.
She does not like the Rams. Still butt hurt from the St. Louis to LA move.

Yes, but Kay’s mommy is letting her wear makeup now, I see.

She is like Steven A. He cannot discuss the Rams without bringing it back to slamming Jeff Fisher. Kay always has to cast shade on Goff and downplay the Rams.

By my count we have 12 former first round picks: Goff, Gurley, Donald, Whitworth, Barron, Easley, Peters, Tavon, Talib, Suh, Brockers & Cooks. The closest other team I could find was Philly with 10 (11 after this draft if they don't trade down). I think the average is around 7.

We also have 11 players who have made a pro bowl (at least once): Donald, Suh, Goff, Gurley, Cooper, Whitworth, Peters, Talib, Hekker, Zeurline & Shields. I expect that number to be at least 13 when they announce the 2019 pro bowlers (Cooks, Brockers, Joyner, Saffold and Woods should be in the hunt).

If this team stays healthy, it has the chops to become legendary.

I think Whitworth was a 2nd rounder.

I don't think that will happen.

Didn't McVay seem to go for it, pedal to the metal, when a more conservative play call would have been better to protect a lead for example? I remember a number of times last season there were fans screaming "why couldn't we just of handed the ball off to Gurley?"

Unless he changes, I don't think McVay can "pump the brakes". He's a terror. Score more points seems to be his mantra.
