Game Balls?

There's no way to be fair. SO many good efforts. My god.

It's a 100% cop out for me, but mine's going to Snisher for putting this together. THIS is going to be a hell of a ride!

Let's take it slow with this. Donald made some great plays no doubt, but so did Quinn and Brockers.

I really think Brockers had the better game of them all...but you won't see it in statistics, you have to watch the game focusing on the DLine. Donald got free many times because the Hags were more worried about Brockers and Quinn.

I was watching the Dline pretty close all game.
did you watch the one TFL for Donald when he faked like a head slap and blew by the lineman?? he showed what they mean about "handwork" by a lineman on that play.

Lance Kendricks, man. The guy got the tying touchdown with a brilliant route. Caught Bailey completely flat-footed. And he blocked very well.

I saw that...and I'm not saying Donald doesn't deserve his props...I'm saying Brockers had the better game.

Take a look as the tackle of Lynch that ended the game, Brockers had Lynch by the legs, he beat his man clean. Donald got there after Brocker got him by the legs.

Anyhow this is a great breakdown by ESPN:

There are a few I want to give out

Nick Foles: 18/27 297 yards 1td
Even after he got strip sacked he bounced back and played to win. Made a lot of clutch passes. A few missed opportunities but I loved what he showed us.

Bam Bam: 16 carries 45 yards, 4 rec 77 yards
Was a stud. the small dump offs to him were basically runs. I was worried about him being our starter but man, he proved me wrong big time. So glad he is on our team.

Jared Cook: 5 rec 85 yards
He was the go to guy. Think almost every catch was a first down.

Stedman Bailey: 3 rec 58 yards. That beautiful pass from Foles to Bailey between Sherman and Thomas was the best pass I've seen in a long long time.

Lance Kendricks: 2 rec 42 yards
That TD was the play of the game. Clutch!!!

Aaron Donald: 9 Tackles, 3 Tackles for loss, 2 sacks
If you havent heard, he is my Bae. And that last play of the game......man I love this guy.

Tavon Austin:
That punt return was the fastest I've ever seen him move. Was like watching him in fast forward.

Trujo:
That interception was huge. really hope he is going to be ok. We need him.

Who do you think deserves game balls?
Honestly, I can't even fathom, or remember, so many different, worthy, candidates. Team ball. The FO, if I have to give one out.

It's all in the "Team-Work" That's the way the Old Fearsome-Foursome always approached the game!!
And I got that straight from Deacon Jones personally!;)

One of my most precious possessions is a personalized, blue and white, from the Deacon, to me.

I trust you have it framed, or something, for safe keeping!
In The time I knew him the only thing I ever got from him was an Ass Kicking on the Pool Table!:D ( But I never ashed for anything either! His friend ship was enough!)

That isn't the point though. Obviously it's a team game. The point I make is there are many things other players do that makes others successful as a team.

I listened to ESPN 101 most of the day...and those guys got it right they credited Donald and Brockers with a great game.

This is "after game analysis"...where things get pointed out that help fane see the game from a better perspective.

Michael Brockers is what makes that line tick. he busted up that last play as it was put "blowing by the center" was one quote i heard. he reminds me of another #90 DL from the 70's . Larry Brooks. not always mentioned or being in the spotlight, but when he wasnt there (playoff loss to dallas) you did notice.

Aaron gave The Incredible Brock the credit for stopping Lynch. These DL guys all have a "all for one & one for all" mentality.

I agree with all that...but I still think some missed how well Brockers played...he had a monster game as well as Donald...and Fisher smartly pointed that out.

The biggest single factor in the win was the play of Foles. The dude made so many clutch passes to sustain drives that I was downright shocked by how good the offense looked. He has energized the receivers and the linemen, they believe in him and have ALL improved their play across the board. That is serious leadership impact on top of his clutch throws. So if there is one game ball it goes to him plain and simple.

If I can give one to the defensive side it's Donald by a landslide. Even Fish said it was the best game he'd seen by a DT, and that is saying a lot. 2 sacks, plus the pressures, plus 9 sacks? Just about unheard of impact from an interior DL. As I have said before enjoy watching him and know that you are watching a Hall of Fame player. Some special stuff.

But like some of you have said I actually hate giving out a game ball in this one given how many players stepped up. Just look at the offense alone. It's crazy. And then Cigs... I'll tell you right now the Seahawks are watching film and recognizing they just got dissected by an outstanding young offensive coordinator. Foles play was outstanding, granted, but the Rams offense is no longer the dumb unit that gets out-schemed on most weeks. For the first time in Fisher's tenure his offense dominated the Seahawks defense and that bodes incredibly well for us this season.

Lastly I think Fish deserves a lot of credit. Swallowing his pride and bringing back Williams as DC is going to pay enormous dividends this season as the offense comes online. And the offensive staff... Taking a risk with Cigs as a first time OC, adding Weinke as QB coach to keep Foles' mechanics and mentality sharp and also adding Garcia whose addition looks to have helped the receivers all look like shrewd moves. He finally has a staff of guys in key positions that are capable of giving him an edge on most Sundays.

I'm praying these guys don't fall flat next Sunday. From that perspective this is another huge game for this young team to demonstrate they can focus and dominate a lesser opponent which is a requirement to be a good team.

I know a few have mentioned it but a Brockers may have played his best game as a Ram. 13 tackles!!
