Found this list on another board. Was interesting to see where they had Saffold ranked as an OT. Personally, I'd have him near the top of the OG list.:

2014 NFL Free Agents Rankings/RotoWorld
2014 NFL Free Agents
Tuesday, January 21, 2014
By Nick Mensio

With access to NFL Players Association data, Rotoworld can generate the most accurate free agent list on the internet. The free agents below are listed loosely in order of how we see them being valued on the open market.

Keep in mind that franchise tags will inevitably deplete the top of the market. New Orleans' Jimmy Graham is an obvious franchise tagee after a mammoth 2013 season. Browns safety T.J. Ward will receive strong franchise-tag consideration as well.

2014 free agency will commence on the afternoon of March 13.

Every year I say the same thing. I don't get why they put out these lists when they aren't even close to being accurate. Many of the good players on that list will either be franchised or re-signed. Why put out a list and say these are the FAs if it's not going to be remotely accurate?

There is only one player I would have any interest...in terms of long term Ram stuff....That's ex Raider OT Jared Veldheer.

Big money...

I'd like to have one of the to CB's and a FS but it all depends on the cap space we have after we cut a few guys. Of course there's that chance the Rams feel Finnegan can come back. "We don't make moves due to injury..."

Any further association with Cortland Finnegan at any price will be a DISASTER.:cray:

It's just me here but if the main three are cap casualties CF/SW/HD that money saved would be utilized to attempt to sign Ram present UFA's like Saffold & Dunbar & future 2015 UFA's like Barksdale, Quinn, Kendricks & Harkey. Rams are not is any position to purchase much of anything unless its a emergency fund need.

I don't know why, but I don't see Fisher getting rid of Finnegan if hes 100% healthy. That's his bud.

Then let Fisher have some beers & raw oysters along with the Hot sauce with his BUD but take his Ram uni ASAP!

To me, the Finnegan situation will tell us a lot about how blinded Fisher can get by loyalty. If Finnegan is back, I won't be able to trust Fisher's veteran player evaluation any more.

I agree that Finnegan will probably be back but it would be stupid. Finnegan hasn't looked good since about week 5 or 6 of the 2012 season. He's done. The only reason to bring him back would be as a backup.

Great post!! I totally agree. You are absolutely right about needing to resign some guys. I'm all for cutting Wells, Finn, and Dahl, and signing no FA if it insures we can keep the three mentioned above.

Barertte Jones could be our new center.
If we trade down we could draft 2 new stud guards (this draft is heavy in OG), draft a new CB, and top it off with a FS.

If this is the case then the Rams draft will not be super sexy like last year. We got playmakers coming up but we have few trench studs or secondary guys. This needs to be our focus and Quinn needs to be a big focus.

Oh! Bradford and Kendricks need new deals soon, as well. I think 2016 for those two.

He is a nice player, problem is Oakland has about $70 million in cap room. So only if they are uninterested in him, which given the state of their line, I find hard to believe.

There is money coming off the books 2016.....all this cap talk is another reason drafting Clowney may make sense.

I was not warm to the Cortland Finnegan signing to begin with so I tainted ....50 mil! :slap:...24 mil guaranteed cap cash for an short small undersized CB in this western division was just not good for us. That was when he was playing at his peak in 2011. Now the Rams just paid him in 2013 over 15 million for just plain misery. Our secondary was our Achilles Heel in 2013 CF was the magic ingredient that made the 2013 such a grand success. :sad:Yes by all means lets just do a repeat of this past season too I just can not wait to see CF chasing down Fitzgerald & smelling his exhaust fumes @ the same time stuffing another 10 million down his pants pockets in 2014! :yousure:

Oh man that just confused me. I thought we weren't going with luxury picks. He doesn't fill a direct need. But heck I'd be crazy excited, don't get me wrong. Im buying Quinn's jersey this year but if we get Clowney then he'd be my pick next year. :D

What's your logic for picking Clowney? (Like I said if love it but I don't see it because we're trading down.)

I dont really want Clowney.....my thought is the same as you, would be exciting and we might regret passing on him, but, cant take him with a team with that is getting close but has holes. I was referencing Longs' salary. He is due $21 M over 15-16. Letting future cap implecations seems like a silly way to draft, but, I bet it comes up in conversations behind closed GM doors.

Here's how I see it. Finnegan earned his money year 1. If they think he'll be able to play like he did is first season in horns then I'll trust the decision. But if he still sucks then I'll be really pizzed. We can always cut him next year before we resign Quinn.

In fact I would not be surprised if Oakland goes after Saffold and another interior lineman along with resigning Veldheer.

Yes I should of known you my friend would have taken notice of this LINEMAN! :heh:

The Oakland Raiders do some silly stuff @ times after-all they are on the San Fransisco Bay .....where strange things go on normally.....Raiders also gave us a gift when they cut and released Barksdale too in 2012 after trading several picks to get the chance to draft Barksdale in the third round in the 2011 draft.:cray:

The 26 yr old 6-8 330 pound Jared Veldheer was also a third round selection but in 2010. This young OT is a outstanding real smart I mean real smart well rounded OT who as far as I am concerned in the best UFA OL'er available @ this time. I consider him to be a better long range OLT for this team than Jake Long. IMO!

Just saying if Miami will let Jake Long depart then all things are possible in this matter too. Snead/Fisher/Boudreau have a solid history of desiring veteran Ol'ers.

We just don't know with Long. I will tell you this, though. He got rolled up multiple times by his own teammate and the last one finished his season. Maybe a LG that can handle his own is the answer. I'm thinking of a Larry Warford type. One thing is for sure, Long is our guy next year so I guess we need to just go from there.
