You do realize the Cowboys and Redskins were the ONLY teams to be penalized for front-loading contracts in an UNCAPPED year (2010 while new CBA was being sorted out) when at least 5 other teams did it, right? Coincidence? Nope.

And lol @ the Gia ts should be more afraid of Carson Wentz. Good one.
I realize that its ridiculous for an accusation to be made that the Giants want him suspended so they don't have to play him since they are 2-0 vs the team when he plays. And Dallas has a long history of covering up for their players misgivings.
Basically you sound like a Patriots fan who is crying about another team cheating

Jerry Jones to Cowboys’ bad boys: Your actions impact an entire team

Training camp can’t get here soon enough for the Cowboys after an offseason filled with bad headlines.

Cornerback Nolan Carrollwas arrested on a DWI charge in May. In June, defensive end David Irving was suspended for four games for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy. Linebacker Damien Wilson was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, accused of backing his truck into a woman and threatening a man with a rifle during a July 4 dispute with tailgaters. (Carroll and Wilson face possible league discipline.)

Now, Ezekiel Elliott allegedly was involved in an altercation at a Dallas bar on Sunday night. Dallas Police are investigating an assault that left a DJ with a broken nose but have not arrested anyone and did not list Elliott as a suspect in their initial report.

None of the incidents have shone a positive light on the Cowboys, less than a month before owner Jerry Jones earns enshrinement into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

“I think the biggest message is not one that has to be stated, and that is that your actions impact an entire team; it impacts an entire fan base,” Jones said Tuesday. “There’s a lot of responsibility there. To the team, it’s a reminder of the interest that’s in your actions and behavior, and it’s not dissimilar from the message you have when you sit down with a child and a young person when you’re talking about how they represent everybody. The message really is pretty simple: Try to think about your activities when you’re involved out here.”

Jones said the Cowboys make players aware that everything they do in public is scrutinized, and the organization will continue to stress that after so much negative news this offseason.

“Our franchise has always been front and center,” Jones said. “It actually was before I became involved, so we articulate and really try to inform our players of the interest and the amount of exposure, the amount of transparency there is in their lives. Like all of us, we do good some days and don’t do good the others. That’s not to be confused with the tolerating of bad behavior or illegal behavior. That’s not what I’m talking about.

I’m talking about just learning that your every move will be scrutinized and in this day and time will be looked at from many vantage points both physically as well as opinions. We ask for the world to look at the Dallas Cowboys. We ask for them to be interested in the Dallas Cowboys.

We ask for that. We want to continue to educate ourselves as to how behavior can be portrayed. From the day I became involved with the NFL, I have had to continually address and learn what it’s like to have your every word possibly played back to you in a very public way.”

A witness has come forward and said Zeke didn't even hit anybody, and his name isn't on the police report. I'm not surprised. Articles about the Cowboys get you clicks. The story doesn't even have to be true. I'm still waiting on the Dez tape that doesn't exist.

I wouldnt be surprised if this new witness didnt also stumble upon a roll of cash to help him remember what happened or didnt happen during the alleged incident. Lol

Some advice from former Cowboys RB Tony Dorsett...

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2017/07/18/tony-dorsett-to-ezekiel-elliott-just-say-no/

It’s like an avalanche,” Dorsett told Newy Scruggs of DFW’s NBC5. “When it comes down it could come crushing down on you, so you’ve got to be careful. You’ve got to pick and choose your people. That’s the unfortunate part about it is the fact that there’s a lot of people when you get that stardom they want to be a part of it. They want to be seen with you. They want to do this with you. They want to do that with you.

“Sometimes you got to be a little standoffish. You can be appreciative, ‘Thank you for all of this, but no I don’t want to go there. I’m not going there. I’m not going to do this.’ Plus you get caught up into positions. Then you go to a party.

You don’t know these people, but some people take you to a place. You don’t know who they are, and then something goes down. The first thing they’re going to do is not going to be their names that’s splattered all over the Dallas Morning News. It’s going to be his name.”

I agree. And the cowboys might only win 6 games.

And there's the video of him exposing some girl's boob, which I guess they cant technically punish him for

That's a good question though.......I don't know if the NFL has that kind of thing in the code of conduct. Doing that kind of thing around families and such is really poor.

Goodell needs to quit suspending players (of every team) for incidents where there isn't even an arrest. It's stupid.

He can't do that. Many times when something goes down there isn't an arrest. That can't be the standard for the NFL if they want to "protect the shield".

And trust me I am not a fan of Goodell, though for not all the reasons some people are.

A witness has come forward and said Zeke didn't even hit anybody, and his name isn't on the police report.

See below.

First thing I thought too.

These things very often go away with a little cheddar spread here and there.

Report: Dallas PD likely suspending assault case involving Ezekiel Elliott
Posted by Josh Alper on July 19, 2017

There were no arrests made at a Dallas bar on Sunday night after a man told police that his nose was broken when he was assaulted, but the Dallas Police Department said that the investigation into what happened, including claims that Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott hit the man, would continue.

That investigation has reportedly run into an obstacle that would keep it from moving forward, however.

Rebecca Lopez of WFAA reports that the investigation will likely be suspended because the police have not been able to find the alleged victim in the case. Per Lopez, the victim gave officers an old address and an incorrect phone number at the time. Other witnesses are reportedly also not cooperating with law enforcement attempts to look into the case.

The NFL is also investigating what happened at the bar and they have another open investigation concerning allegations of another assault levied against Elliott by an Ohio woman last year. That allegation did not lead to an arrest or prosecution.

I think it was Booger McFarland I heard make a good point on the radio the other day. Good things rarely happen after the street lights go on. You're a young wealthy man who doesn't need trouble, get your butt home.

@Rynie quit sounding like a Patriots fan you're better than that. This young man needs to figure it out though. Whether he or his fans like it or not he is married financially to his reputation and public perception. Trouble seems to find him and continually playing the innocent victim card won't cut it for long. Also doesn't he have his own bodyguard? If so he should look into changing it or actually listening to him. Something isn't working right for these things to keep happening.

Six games for Ezekiel Elliott?
Posted by Mike Florio on August 11, 2017

AP

While reeling from the Ray Rice debacle and off-field incidents involving Adrian Peterson and Greg Hardy, the NFL introduced a new Personal Conduct Policy that creates a baseline suspension of six games for an incident of domestic violence. That number can go up and, as we saw last year with the Josh Brown suspension, down.

With Elliott, some are suggesting that he’ll get six games.

There’s plenty of chatter in the media about a six-game suspension. Ross Tucker of SiriusXM NFL Radio tweeted this morning that, after saying on the air that he anticipates a one-to-four-game suspension, a “good source” (not to be confused with his bad sources) texted, “Don’t rule out six.”

View: https://twitter.com/RossTuckerNFL/status/895955903324852224

Here’s a possibility: A six-game suspension that is later reduced on appeal to four games. Here’s another possibility: A six-game suspension that could be reduced to four with good behavior.

The latter approach is what the league used seven years ago when suspending Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who like Elliott had never been arrested or charged with any crime. Roethlisberger, unlike Elliott, had multiple incidents.

But that changed with the Ray Rice case, which caused the NFL to shift the focus of the Personal Conduct Policy from recidivists to first-time offenders who engage in certain types of misconduct.

However it plays out, it could play out at any time.

I hope he didnt hurt anyone but if he is suspended, I sure hope it's at least 4 games so that we dont have to play him.

Good grief, just make a decision already. Cowboys certainly should have the opportunity to plan properly for his absence (if there is going to be one)

Six caught me by surprise...I would guess that might be reduced on appeal...If he's gone for the Rams game, that could be really large...Even as good as the 'Boyz OL is, they don't have another Elliott on their squad..Rams are due to catch a break at some point on this kind of stuff...This Watkins trade has me kind of feeling pretty good if he stays on the field...Big if, but it gives them the true #1 they haven't had in what seems liker forever...It's a huge positive for Goff, not only because of that, but it will open up all kinds of other stuff for the O...I haven't poured any kool-aid, but I've got the ice cubes getting ready in case they're needed...
