TMZ Sports reports a witness saw Ezekiel Elliott punch a man at a Dallas-area bar Sunday night.
A video shows the victim laying on the ground after the incident, but there is no video of the actual altercation. The victim suffered a broken nose. Despite a witness identifying Elliott as the assailant, police did not make any arrests because of a lack of information and the fact the witness appeared to be intoxicated. Police also did not speak with Elliott because he was gone by the time they arrived. No charges have been filed at this time. Jul 17 - 11:31 AM

Sorry @Prime Time i forgot this thread existed. Also, it's kind of suspicious he would flee the scene right afterwards. I'm pretty sure he's an alcoholic.

The battery issue... wasn't it before he became employed by the NFL? Does/should that change anything?

I want to make it clear... in NO way am I saying battery is OK...

It's suspicious, but not suspicious. If you're any type of celebrity, and you are near a bar fight, the media will be all over it and will even construe that you were potentially involved. So EZ probably fled thinking he didn't want to be named as being in that vicinity. If he hit someone with enough force to hurt them that bad, he won't be able to hide the evidence (swollen and scraped knuckles).

If EZ has issues with alcohol, I hope he seeks treatment as a fellow human. It destroys families and lives.

I agree my friend. My father has had issues with alcohol in the past and it hasn't been easy on our family. But you are right about fleeing. I think it would be pretty easy to look at his hands and notice any cuts or scraps.

I don't like to automatically assume that somebody is guilty. But he seems to have found himself on the wrong side of the media.

There's really nothing I could say except if it were any other team, it wouldn't make it as the front page of the Yahoo website. I'm sure he will get suspended since Goodell and Mara are really good friends.

Goodell needs to quit suspending players (of every team) for incidents where there isn't even an arrest. It's stupid.

This right here is a peek into the very special mind of our own @LesBaker .

Yes... it is true that back in the 80s I proudly sported fishnet belly jerseys. We had those at my High School here in Florida and I also had a Nebraska Cornhusker one. For you youngsters here... that crap was the in-thing back then... and more importantly, chicks definitely were "into" them.

I'm fairly certain that I even have a pic of me in that Cornhusker beauty up in my attic. I also seem to remember that I was sporting a very sick porn stache (also cool at that time) in that shot. It should also be pointed out that my girlfriend at that time (who was a bartender at Razzles in Daytona Beach) was standing proudly next to me. Not just anyone can pull off a porn stache and a fishnet belly shirt my Brethren.

Anyway... back to this mind of @LesBaker ...

Is anyone else just a little bit disturbed knowing that Les somehow remembered that I used to wear those? I must have told that story here like 7 years ago. Les has been savoring that all this time.

:snicker:
So @LesBaker does feel singled out I admit to wearing fishnet belly jerseys in the early 80s, but I was in jr high. I'm not as old as Les

Why would the Giants want him suspended? They owned him and the Cowboys last year.

If I'm a cowboys fan, I'm laying low right now, not playing the victim card. Maybe you can sign Ray Rice to replace him if he gets suspended.

Beating us by 1 point on Dak's first NFL game, then 3 points. They didn't own us. Also, we've beat them 5 of the last 7 meetings.

A witness has come forward and said Zeke didn't even hit anybody, and his name isn't on the police report. I'm not surprised. Articles about the Cowboys get you clicks. The story doesn't even have to be true. I'm still waiting on the Dez tape that doesn't exist.

He ran for a total of 150 yards and 1 td in 2 games. Dallas scored 26 points total in the 2 games they lost.
The idea that the Giants would want him suspended so they don't have to play him is silly. They would be more afraid of Carson Wentz. Problem with Zeke is not being smart enough to only break the law in Texas where it wouldn't be a crime.

You do realize the Cowboys and Redskins were the ONLY teams to be penalized for front-loading contracts in an UNCAPPED year (2010 while new CBA was being sorted out) when at least 5 other teams did it, right? Coincidence? Nope.

And lol @ the Gia ts should be more afraid of Carson Wentz. Good one.

Maybe I read this wrong (and I'm not reading it again)
If he isn't facing charges from law enforcement, why is the NFL "investigating"?
Sounds like a witch hunt to me. Let the Ewok play.

Every employee of the NFL reflects on the "NFL Brand." Right or wrong, this is not a court of law where one is innocent until proven guilty. Even the appearance of wrongdoing can get a player suspended.
