He should be in jail for how much money he stole from the Rams and Eagles. Also, he has a very VERY punchable face.

.

the hypocrisy of the media guys is astounding.

saw nfl live today. between fast forwarding through them crying about brady for three quarters of the show they talked about sam asking for a trade. mark may said boo hoo, stop your whining and go out there and play, you can't tell the team what to do, etc.

later in the show they talked about norman signing with the skins. they talked about what happened to the skins after one of their superbowl wins. may was on that team, i think, and said alot of the players weren't signed for the following season. before signing any of them the skins signed some guy in free agency for big money before any of the players on the team. said alot of them got upset, got hurt feelings, didn't play well, they had a losing season the following year. there was no boo hooing from him. no they should have stopped whining. no go out there and play. no you can't tell the team what to do.

fucking clown.

I was a huge Sam supporter when he was here. But ever since the start of the 2015 offseason... I really hate the guy and can't stand his face. Sorry, but it's true.

It started when he refused to reduce his salary from $13 million. Now he's complaining because the Eagles want a future option to replace his useless self? And not to mention that time he called out the STL for boo'ing the Rams during that pitiful 2011 season (I think), when Bradford and his useless offense could barely complete a pass.

I swear, this guy thinks he's Peyton. I believe that he's so delusional that he actually thinks he's an elite QB. He's whiny and entitled. He had his arse kissed so much at OU and had his ego inflated after being drafted No. 1 overall. I don't think he has a clue that he'll be holding a clipboard by the end of this season and out of the league in two years.

The guy has stumbled into more undeserved money than any player in NFL history. Maybe sports history? There are powerball winner who did more to deserve the money they have.

Sorry...I don't really mean that. I'm just pissed he didn't work out for the Rams and think he's a spoiled brat.

And the guy just sucks as an NFL QB. Yeah, he throws a nice ball here and there. He's great at 7-on-7. But he sucks as an NFL QB.

I didn't understand your post at first. I get it now.

No, I am just saying I liked the guy a lot when he was here. Since then, he's done stuff that makes me hate his friggin face and I can't stand him. That's all.

No, anyone who's made that much money and still has his health and his faculties is not someone for whom I'm going to feel sorry.

If Sam really want out of Philly, he should say this: I'll give back my signing bonus and sign a new, team friendly deal with the team that trades for me. Show us it's not about the money, which you don't need at this point. Get a short term, team-friendly deal, then go out and prove yourself. Do that and you'll get another big contract. But after six years in the league, it's time that you stopped making the big bucks based on potential.

This kind of fallout is to be expected when you make a metric butt ton of money, don't live up to your draft status, refuse to bend on contract extensions and earn even more metric butt ton of money and then refuse to compete with what will be a very nicely stacked QB room.

You cannot blame the Eagles for not trusting a guy who has had trouble staying healthy and who has been mediocre even when he has been healthy. He is well paid to come in there and compete, and IMO he's doing himself a disservice by taking this road with the Eagles. His agent also shares that blame I think.

he's the same guy.

the rams tried to make him take a pay cut so they could trade him to whoever gave the highest price. his agent has seen all the tricks and said no thank you.

the eagles trade up to #2 and want to trade him. his agent is trying to bring his trade value down so he'll be in the broncos price range.

this is why players have agents. so they can take care of this part of the business.

he wasn't taking a pay cut. no player would unless they were threatened to be cut and didn't think they could make that money elsewhere.

the eagles don't want him on the team after they traded up to #2. they'll happily trade him. don't kid yourself.

Do I feel sorry for him? No.
He could play his ass off and keep whoever the Eagles draft on the bench.
OR he could play his ass off and make the market for himself unlimited.

He could have played a lot better if the Eagles used all those pics on receivers and Olinemen to help them win now. Instead they gave up all those pics to draft his replacement. I'd want out of town too.

Well then he won't get outplayed if he's the better QB.

He should go out there, play his ass off and prove that he is the man. He will be a hot commodity next year and have teams clamoring for him. He could get a long term contract with a team that see him as their future.
Right now he looks like a guy with no fire, no confidence and thinks he should be handed the job and not have to earn it.

This.

I love how people (the writer in the OP) like to use Sam's earnings as a reason to "shut up and play".

News flash; if it was just about the money that's exactly what Sam would do.

I understand the impetus for saying this, but the CBA doesn't allow players to give back money and give back cap space, afaik. Pretty sure we covered this last year with a different player. They can take a pay cut in salary, but they can't give back bonus money already paid and cap money already applied cannot be taken back unless there is a dispensation from the league office and that requires a special application (like when a player goes to jail, a team can apply for cap relief)

They have weapons. He wants to leave because they don't have faith in him past this year. He wants a team that believe in him. I don't think no team can trust him as a franchise qb with his brittle body. Also he's not that good

His "weapons" let him down. I think during the Saturday game against Dallas it was said his team had the 3rd most drops.

And DeMarco Murray gets put in the absolute worst scheme? Imagine if Todd Gurley was put in the wrong scheme.

I can understand not trusting him b/c of his injury history, but to blame on-field problems on him is ridiculous.

I think this was orchestrated by the Philly FO to get something in return for trading Bradford from the moment they signed him to a 2 year prove it deal. He was never intended to be their long term starter.

It's also better for Bradford, a vet, to go to a vet team like Denver. He doesn't want to have to rebuild Philly. And Philly is a rebuild project.
