Vegan here. :burp:

I was raised by German parents. Everything had meat in it. High fat and salt content. My grandfather used to feed me something called schmaltz :poop: which is basically animal fat. He'd empty out his salt shaker over it and put the plate in front of me. :puke: It's no wonder my cholesterol went sky high during my early 40's.
You used to power down those fleischwhatevers and potato salad that mom made.
Another thing where you got the wrong genes, cholesterol. I've never had high cholesterol. Even when I was 40 lbs overweight.
Not a fan of German food, but they sure know how to brew beer.
I like them both! Especially together! :yess:
German potato salad>anything ever done with a potato
I'm partial to the potato pancakes covered with apple sauce.

I'll be interested to see if, between the 2 of them, they can generate some filled seats or if they'll both be embarrassed by a half empty Coliseum..The soccer field would have been safer, but I guess they didn't want a bunch of fans unable to get tickets, if it is decent crowd...
Rams sold 63,000 for the first preseason game.
Of course for the Chargers Rams game half will probably stiff be Fing fans

She forced me. :) Btw it's fleischpflanzerl, which is translated to "meat patties."

I think it was George Carlin that called meat loaf "meat cake." Ex #1 used to make some terrible "meat cake." One time she asked, "How is it? What d'ya think?" I picked up a chunk of the gray cake and replied in my best Mr. Ed voice, "Oh Wilburrrrrr..."

not German food, but once my ex decided she was going to make stuffed peppers. She bought these huge bell peppers, some ground beef etc etc. Cooked the beef with some onions garlic tomatoes mixed in some rice and popped em in the oven. Problem is she never cooked the rice !!!

My ex made a similar stuffed pepper "dish." It was edible. Not good, but edible. I never complained though because there was dinner when I got home. She probably thought I was just being nice taking the family out to eat once a week, ordering delivery, or picking up a pizza on the way home. ;)
