That’s fair but he was lights out for 97% of the game. Diggs and Scherfield dropped 50 yard passes on back to back possessions in the 4Q.
It seemed to make more sense to me to eat clock and get first downs, followed by TD with little time left. Even if the 50 yard TD was caught, KC's offense showed the ability to drive on the Bills defense.

The Chiefs had the ball for 31 less plays than the Bills and had 7 less yards and 3 more points. The Bills had 133 yards in the second half on 37 plays. KC has 194 yards on 26 plays. Buffalo had the TOP advantage 37 to 23. KC was just 1 of 5 on third down...but only 5 third downs! The Bills were 7 of 14 and where'd that get them?

I wonder if McDermott gets canned.

I mean.. he’s proven he can’t beat KC.

The Bills were the #2 seed this year. They had a good season. I don't think they should fire their coach because he hasn't figured out how to stop a HOF QB that has made it to the AFCC game every year as a starter. How many other coaches out there can?

Perfect pictures to prove what happened.

I think the physics of this is interesting. Allen definitely threw the ball BEHIND him, to a player who was BEHIND him.

HOWEVER-- Allen's forward momentum caused the ball to move forward relative to the (stationary) playing field. Yes, he released the ball at the 27, and the ball was caught at the 28.

As we can see by the pics, the RB remained well behind Allen, both before and after the throw. But the ball itself moved forward relative to the field, so it should have been a penalty.

In Australian Rules Football, this is legal. In the NFL, it's illegal.

In rugby league if the ball travels backwards from the players hand then moves forwards due to forward momentum the pass is ruled as backwards.

Don't want that can of worms in the nfl. They can't get simple things right.

Wow! If you're a Bills fan, you gotta feel snakebit . A notorious 4 SB losses and now you can't get by the Chiefs. WHAT THE HECK WERE THEY THINKING ON THAT FAJE PUNT??? Then, instead if going "max protect" on that last 4th down, you go "spread" not realizing Allen could get those yards!!!

That *may* get the coach fired.

Kind of funny that they didnt bring up the Music City Miracle that crushed the Bills souls back in the day.
I guess "Wide Right" was a better deja vu moment

Sane post.

That fake punt was tremendously dumb though.

Also, whoever said this is a gross final four…damn right it is. It’s so shitty that I’m forced to choose the Kelce Swift team on ABC to win it all again.

The Bills were my last rooting interest.

At least Bills fans can look back fondly and celebrate the all-time greats of the franchise like O.J. Simp— um… never mind.

Too soon?
