I think a lot of Kaepernick not being signed (besides the Ravens situation, where his GF insulted them without CK immediately disavowing it) is that CKs unusual playing style is not what you want in a backup - you want a backup who can come in and fit close to seamlessly with the offense the team already runs. But CK had shown that he wanted to play his own way. Teams don't want to put up with that, unless they are convinced he is a good long term option as a starter.

Yes, the political stuff probably grated on them a little, but more as further evidence that he is a loose cannon - not what is wanted in a backup QB. He would be better than some current starters - but teams were likely hoping that their QBs would be better than they ended up being.

The rumors I heard initially were that he was hoping for a big payday, then had to cut back his demands AFTER teams filled holes and backup slots were what was available.

I suspect he'll get signed soon, just because desperation has set in for some teams.

I feel bad for Cleveland football fans. So passionate about a team that's run by the muppets. No I take that back, that's too insulting to Muppets.

At least they don't have to part with draft picks. Johnny Football is no where close to being able to hold Kap's jock.

We as Rams fans know Greg Williams can put up a solid defensive scheme.

The Niners traded for there QB for less than what Browns were giving up.

How they decided on there QB's & pick up Cody Kessler over Dak ?? Beyond think able.

I think Dak won MVP of the Senior Bowl.Watch Snead continue to scout there huge every season. Kromer will come up with someone.

Map sucks ass.

Nuff said.

Browns fans are the worst fans I have ever seen/read etc on the internet. Never seen a group who post more stuff about wishing injuries, death, etc on other teams players than from that fanbase. Losing has not only made them jealous and bitter but outright insane.

What do expect from a team that had Carson Wentz fall into their lap, but ran the other way?

My experience with them has been very different. They're a lot like we've been over the past decade. They're bitter and beaten down, but they still maintain their sense of humor with it all.

New report suggest it was Bengals who botched AJ McCarron deal, not Browns

Browns Wire

© Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports Oct 8, 2017; Cincinnati, OH, USA; Cincinnati Bengals quarterback AJ McCarron (5) against the Buffalo Bills at Paul Brown Stadium. It's fitting that all this happened on Halloween, because it's scary how a trade between the NFL's two Ohio-based teams vanished. Like a bad jawbreaker candy, the more that comes off the surface, the worse it tastes. The newest lick indicates the Bengals might be the ones who fouled up the deal for quarterback AJ McCarron, not the Browns, as numerous prior reports indicated.

According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer, the Browns held up their end of consummating the trade that would have landed them McCarron. It was the Bengals who erred.

Cabot tweeted that the Browns sent a signed document to the Bengals to sign and submit to the NFL, confirming the trade. Cincinnati, however, sent in a document signed by only one team.

This flips the blame from Cleveland to Cincinnati, though at this point it's safe to say both sides share in the inability to get the deal done in time.

It also calls into question the method for the NFL to get the information to validate the trades. With all the advances in technology, it seems like there is an easier way to finalize these deals.

Bengals fault apparently. Still the whole thing is a bloody joke.

Its 2017. There have to be better, more efficient ways of confirming a deal. McCarron could’ve lost out on a starting job for an NFL team (albeit a terrible one) just cus someone sent the wrong document.
