Anyone excited to see Brett Hundley play tonight? He is one of my favorite QB's in the draft right now. Not sure his draft stock would change with a great performance, but I would love if the Rams drafted him in the 2nd round if he's there.

---------

STRENGTHS: Looks the part with a tall, well-built frame and has the arm to unleash passes all over the field. Easy throwing motion with a strong, accurate arm. Noel Mazzone's offense asks him to make aggressive downfield throws and his quarterback shows the courage to attempt these passes even with defenders in close proximity to his targets. Quick set-up and release, and possesses the velocity and touch to make any throw.

Even more impressive than Hundley's elusiveness and acceleration, however, is his vision and poise while buying time in the pocket. Hundley feels pressure well and is willing to step up and re-set while keeping his passing options open, critical for long-term success in the NFL.

Hundley has the physical traits to explode as a dual-threat passer in the NFL, and the mental toughness so critical for success at the next level.

WEAKNESSES: Takes virtually every snap from the shotgun and typically relies upon pre-snap reads in a relatively simple offense. Scouts want to see him operate better from the pocket, especially under duress.

Has a tendency to drop his eyes and look to run in the face of pressure, even when able to elude the initial defender. Good, but not great straight-line speed in the mold of elite dual-threat QBs.

Hundley's ball placement is a work-in-progress. Like most young quarterbacks, he needs to develop his anticipation as a passer and show better rhythm with his weapons, but he has the qualities that can't be coached.

COMPARES TO: Randall Cunningham, ex-Eagles: Hundley possesses a combination of size, athleticism, grace and arm strength reminiscent of the former Pro Bowler Cunningham.

IN OUR VIEW: On the surface, Hundley's skill-set seems every bit as tantalizing as Oregon's Marcus Mariota or Florida State's Jameis Winston. However, Hundley needs to improve in the critical subtleties of the quarterback position - pocket presence, reading defenses and ball placement.

I'll be watching.
I want to see a throw first mentality.

Yeah. He's certainly a consideration for us at #10 (even though it may a bit high for him)

I think he's got a long development coming in the NFL but he is intriguing.

Watching this game I really like the WR Lockett of K-State, kid has enormous heart and plays big. Can't imagine him not being a solid possession type WR in the NFL. I always enjoy watching Kendricks too, dude flat out is always around the ball. Neither are high draft picks but both are gonna be good players at the next level I think.

He looks good but Ok but needs to sit at least a couple years. It's gonna take him a while to adjust. I wouldn't consider him until the third round.

I dunno, man. I can't help but think of Colin Kaepernick when I watch him play.

His feet are definitely more dangerous than his arm. Not sure if I would be interested in him in the 3rd round.

Lockett is a talented kid. Good route runner, quick, and has 4.4 speed. But he's really small and body-catches at times.

10 would be insanely high! You cant draft a guy that high to sit for a year or two (which he needs to do). If the rams drafted him and played him next season they will lose, think how manziel played. I really hope the rams are smart enough to not draft this guy at 10 or the first round at all.

I could see that but what I've seen of him I believe he throws open a WR better than Capernick and can read a defense at least on the same level. By no means am I saying he's polished but the dude is very intriguing to me to maybe move up into the late round of 1st and pick him up.

How does a guy go through life for 20 + years and nobody ever told him to close his mouth?

After a while I started to wonder if maybe he didn't have nostrils, or that they were extra small or something.

Always having his jaw hang open makes him look stupid. I can hear the jokes on his first day OG camp already

I Agree with ChrisW, Hundley moves like Kaepernick.

I was not impressed. I agree with others that he will have to sit and learn for a few years.

Jim Mora JR has UCLA playing tough with attitude. I will never call a Bruin soft again. I still hate those baby shit blue unis. Starting to see reasons to watch the Bruins.

I can see the tools Hundley has. Not bad. Haven't watched him enough to say much more about him.

When Locket first came out as a freshman I wanted him. He's small but electric. Just an exciting kid to watch. Needs work on hands and body catches too much. Hard kid to cover, quick and fast. Watched his family tear up the Big 8 years ago. He may not be for the Rams because of TA, but someone is going to get a difference maker in the return game. A TD waiting to happen. He offers good reps and change of pace at WR. CBs better be aware of who is on the field. He'll blow by anybody.

Overall I think he has looked pretty decent.

Passing: 12/24 136 yards

Minus a creative Offensive Coordinator that will play him to his strengths, he's probably a bust waiting to happen in the NFL.

BTW, I keep reading about his strong arm, but it looks like he may have average to slightly above average arm strength to me.

Like I said, I see Jason Campbell.

The way he drops his head in the pocket there may be some Blaine Gabbert to his game. He doesn't panic as bad as Blaine, but the skittishness. The dropping of the head. The lack of accuracy at times. The kid has some Gabbert in him. Both he and Gabbert look the part and had good tools, but they fail in aspects of the QB game.

That's why I'm saying Jason Campbell. Exact problem Campbell had. Similar physical attributes, size, and weaknesses.
