I like a You Tube channel that focuses on music from the 70's-00' and the hit song "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now," by Starship was the subject. It was made for the movie "Mannequin" Starring Kim Cattrall and Andrew McCarthy. The host pointed out that he listened to that song quietly, hoping his little brother wouldn't catch on that he was listening to a pop song instead of rock and roll. I was distracted by the movie because it was a guilty pleasure back then for me because of a young Kim Cattrall. There were several guilty pleasure movies in the 80's which I list below. List yours!

In no particular order:
1. Mannequin
2. Can't Buy Me Love
3. The Secret of My Success
4. Sixteen Candles
5. Soul Man

If you liked these movies or any others like them in the 80's, please turn in your man card at the desk.....

I'll go a different direction than you two and go with my favorite 80's SciFi movies!

Honerable mentions! Last Starfighter, Flash Gordon and Time Bandits as well as Wrath of Khan.

5-The Adventures of Buckaroo Bonzai across the 8th dimension
4- Dune
3- They Live
2- Tron
1- Bladerunner

Both 5 and 3 were not only good SciFi but were funny stuff too!

Dune was one of my favorite books brought to the big screen. Probably the first time that had ever happened that I can recall in the SciFi genre. while not a great flick it was still memorable for that.

Tron just amazing and the cgi for the time was fun!

Bladerunner is one of those movies that still today is a great flick and I'll watch it anytime I see it on tv or a streaming service.

They Live is awesome, especially that fight scene!
