Both games we were horrible in the first half only to crank out points in the 2nd. That's on coaching.

Not saying you're wrong CGI but I'm very hesitant to give a lot of credit to any O that does well when the other team has a big lead. We all know the O doesn't face the same D.
Atlanta has far too much recent history with blowing large leads to even consider playing their defense in "garbage" time.

Yeah, I echo CoachO's sentiments. You have to be smart about up-tempo or no-huddle offenses. What if your defense was on the field for a 16 play, 81 yard drive, and you go out and run the no-huddle for a 3 and out. Plus, field position (like Coach said) really does dictate when you can start to use that. And of course, you do want to trap a defense in a bad personnel grouping when you start to use that stuff. Not just willy-nilly.

You don't have to run a NASCAR no huddle. You can run a "sugar huddle" which is the same pace as a normal huddle but it restricts the defense's ability to substitute which hurts their ability to go to sub-packages and vary blitzes. Basically...defense can only substitute if you do. Otherwise, if you see them try, you can run to the line and snap it for a free play and an easy penalty.

Eh I think Atlanta had more to do with offensive adjustments because they were doing the exact same things in the first half that they did in the 2nd. We just started changing up how we attacked it.

As far as Arizona, we were eating them up in the first half offensively, had a bad 3rd quarter and then had a solid 4th.

Offense has been inconsistent but they're young and Schotty has been a bit inconsistent too. That all said, if the defense EVER gets up to speed...we actually have an offense that can support them.

Points are a good thing. Now if they can do that all 4 qtrs then they should easily make the postseason.

I think halftime adjustments are overblown. The only adjustments that happen at halftime, that don't happen throughout the course of the game, are halftime speeches and/or tirades that affect emotion and serve to refocus the players. Adjustments, as they were, happen all the time throughout the game.

Yes. Actually most of them in the 2nd half.

1st half points: 16

2nd half points: 35

This is what I don't understand. Why does everyone want to call the no huddle a hurry up by default? Look at the way Chip used it in Oregon. He brought his team to the line so the defense had to respect that they might snap it at any time - thus, no substitutions. But they still used up the ENTIRE play clock. They even were able to get in their own substitutions on offense.

All they did was bring their team to the line with the QB under center. Then the QB would step back in shotgun formation and the sideline would signal in the play. If you watched the play clock, they would generally use all but one or two seconds. With this, they would be able to run the hurry up if need be out of the same set.

Maybe I'm overly sensitive but I thought the Rams were trying to be a team others feared. Yeah Ryan is a nice QB but you can't allow him to dictate what you think is best for YOUR team. The O can go three and out a number of ways and seemed to perfect it in the first half vs. Atl. I want this team to DICTATE to other teams how the game will be played. Same goes for Romo this week. Solid QB but if you don't let the Offense play to it's potential AND play soft coverage he will kill you with paper cuts. A better starting Offense and aggressive D can make him look very poor IMO.
