I like GB #25-720 and #56- 320=1040
for #19-875 and #83 -175=1050

BAL #30-620 and #62-284=904
for #19-875 and #154-30=905

Of course it all depends on how draft goes and who's available at each slot.
Anything that nets additional late R1 to early R4 picks would be optimal.

I expect an edge or OT to be there due to the QBs. Feeling like 5 QBs go off potentially. Maybe 6 if we are lucky.

So if one of those cornerstone pieces are there don't fuck around. Fill it. That is my preference. Now who they are well that is where it will be the Rams opinion that matters. Sure would like to see that board.

The KC trade down looks like the best option if we were to move down though. Prefer as short a move down as possible.

Trading up or down usually happens on draft day. Its when a team sees a guy they want but doesn't think he'll be there by the time their pick come around. If we trade down I'm thinking it will happen when our turn comes up and someone makes an offer we like. Trading up for the top pick usually happens well before the draft. But I don't see us doing that since we don't need a quarterback. Any other trade up is likely to happen during the round.

I never do this but it's pouring outside.

Sign Edge Danielle Hunter and Center Andre James in Free Agency.
Trade #19 and one of the two 3rd round picks for a mid-20s 1st and a mid-20s 2nd round pick.
Draft Cornerback Ennis Rakestraw in the 1st, WR Roman Wilson and Guard Christian Haynes in the 2nd.
The remaining 3rd round pick is best available player at DL, LB, DB, TE or RB.

Huge up-grade at Edge ... up-grades at CB and Center ... WR to stretch-the-field, provide needed depth (Kupp and Nacua take a beating) and for the future (Robinson and Atwell will be free agents in 2025) ... and finally, quality, experienced college Guard to replace the greatest off-season loss in Dotson.

Go out and win five Madden Championship Trophies ... I mean another Lombardi.

IMO the Rams have 2 CB and 1 S positions to fill. Tomlinson at NB and Lake at SS are good. So I think they need to use their first draft pick at CB. And one of their R5 picks at S.

We are NOT taking a QB at 19.

The elite guys (Williams, Maye and Daniels) will be long gone by then.

The tier two guys (McCarthy and Nix) will also probably be gone, as some QB-needy teams will likely reach for them. Even if one (or both) falls to us, there are almost certainly players higher on our big board that are going to be available at positions of need.

There is no other QB even vaguely worth the nineteenth overall selection.

We may trade up for a QB, but given the holes in our roster I very much doubt that McSnead will want to give up picks.

Oh well; at least there’s only another eight weeks of this rubbish to go.
Some agents floating that they think QB's go 1-4. McCarthy most likely 4th. It seems the general consensus is that Nix and Penix are day two guys but that maybe a team like Denver could fall in love with Nix and trade back in 1st but not far enough to the 2nd so would have pick him up late 1st.

I'm not crying at this.

KAD = Kris Abrams-Draine (Missouri CB).

Kool-Aid ain't on my radar.
Ok, thanks for clarifying. KAD in the 2nd though? Think that's high for what I'm seeing. I'd rather McKinstry in the 2nd personally, but I do like KAD.
I'd like to see the Rams trade a 2nd round pick and a 6th round pick to San Diego for Khalil Mack.
Uh, no thanks. Have you seen his cap number (currently 38.5m, but not sure what gets eliminated in a trade exactly)? And we are giving them a premium pick for a player that they are likely to outright cut who is 33 already? If they think they won't be able to sign him after him getting cut, maybe offer them something but nowhere near our 2nd.

It only takes one team to cement a trade but with every team in the NFL confidant that he'll be cut, hard to see a scenario where he's traded for with that contract.

Draft seems deep enough at a few spots of need that there will be someone there at #19 that could immediately help us so I don't want to trade down in 1st round. After that trade away as needed. I would not be opposed to trading up in 1st round for a LT like Joe Alt lets say.

Honestly, I think KAD's as good, if not better, than Rakestraw is. He's not getting attention because of his size (5'11", 179 lbs.), but this is a kid who had seven picks and thirty-three passes defensed in his career, is fairly physical for his size, and matched up against top SEC wide receivers (Rakestraw had an ACL injury in 2021, and had nagging injuries all throughout 2023, so I'm wary about that.) throughout his entire Mizzou career.

I'd gladly take him with a late second.

Give me one KC Special Please.

Last 5 year deal.

2 other top 100 picks.

We either get the pick of the litter with a 5 year contract, or sell off to the highest bidder who wants to do this. It's a win-win scenario.

With the NFL being QB crazy, I think 5 QBs are taken by pick 18 and the Rams have many trade options with leverage from teams wanting to come up to 19 for the last QB seen as a first rounder by team(s).

If this doesn't turn out to be true, 5/6 Qbs will be taken before 19 meaning more good players will be pushed down before the Rams pick at 19.

At that point, the Rams select from 4/5 players they have highly rated or accept a trade down, still get a player they like and add picks.

It is a real good year to be at #19 due to 5/6 QBs coming out that teams will want.

If we trade that #1 pick we had better get more value than it is worth or do not do it.
We have a good young base now. We do not need great numbers.
We need great talent, players who are tough and love the game.
Find those guys.

We desperately need size/length at CB though
And speed. Our wideouts are slow. Our corners are slow. I agree we need some length at corner but speed as well. This is why corner early makes sense, because to get size and speed you generally need to invest a higher pick.

I'd like to see the Rams trade a 2nd round pick and a 6th round pick to San Diego for Khalil Mack.

Why? Due their cap, they have to release him. So no one’s gonna give up anything beyond a 6 or 7 for him and that’s just to jump the line

His current contract of $17M isn’t bad at all for his production
