So my mom left me her collection of CDs and I'm listening to Kris Kristofferson - The Austin Sessions. He re-records all his greatest hits with all sorts of amazing musicians and vocalists like Alison Krauss Mark Knopfler Vince Gill Jackson Browne.
Highly recommended if you like folk music. Kristofferson was a genius songwriter

We lost my mother-in-law the other day. And Tuesday we place her tattered earthly vessel in the dirt. (A legal procedure, I assure you.)
But surely, her reward is in Heaven. No more cancer, tears, or sorrows.

Here's an underrated, masterpiece by John Lennon that hardly receives any airplay. This is when the Beatles were basically on the forefront of inventing psychedelic music. This is the first time a recording of a backwards guitar was used. Played masterfully by George Harrison.
