For a Album that only has 6 songs on it , it's still one of the greatest Albums of all time

I can still remember cruising up and down Grand on a Saturday night in my 74 LeMans cranking this cassette in my 80 watt Kraco stereo , (y)

This is definitely one of the albums on the soundtrack of my teenage years. My friends and I had just started driving. What a great time.

Girls, cars, YOUTH!

Man, it sure does go by fast.

Hey PA and Iowa! I love that Foghat album so much I had to bite the bullet and shell out for the Mobile Fidelity Gold disc. You played my all time 3 favorite Foghat songs! I love many others, but you nailed my top 3.

Wow Primetime. What a gift...OK Go interview. I love reading about the artists who create the music I like. When it comes to music, I like the whole enchilada. Oh yeah Primetime! Does Jeff Beck age?

No, it doesn't appear that he does age all that much. He's been a vegetarian since 1969. Maybe that's his secret? Ever notice that there's never been one scandal or arrest attached to his name? The man is 70 and all he does is work on his cars and then pop in once in a while to play some mean guitar. From what I've read, he's loved and respected by his peers. In spite of that hellish rock 'n roll lifestyle he's managed to live a good, full, productive life.

I'm on a kick. Here's another orphan find. Polyphony. Classic progressive rock in the flavor of Yes, ELP, etc. They only recorded one album in 1972 "Without Introduction".

1. Juggernaut 00:01
2. 40 Second Thing In 39 Seconds 13:57
3. Ariel's Flight 15:14
4. Crimson Dagger 30:24

Martin Ruddy - bass, vocals
Christopher Spong - drums
Craig Massey - vocals, organ, moog
Glenn Howard - vocals, guitars
Chatty Cooper - percussion

Reading the comments on the youtube page for this video, one of the band members, Glen Howard, chimed in. Pretty cool.

If it means anything from an internet stranger, you guys are up there with all the prog gods. Regardless of commercial reception, you guys had (and probably still have) the chops of Floyd, ELP, Crimson, all of em. Glad I found you. Do you have any other albums besides this?

I saw this guy warm up for Jeff Beck last time he was in town. He's been around a long time and has recorded tons of material but never has seen very wide acclaim. When I saw him, it was just a two piece accoustic setup...him and the bass man. Very cool show. What was even more awesome was that he and his bassist came down to the lobby during the intermission to meet fans. My son was so excited to get to speak with them and they gave him a "Gary Hoey" guitar pick.

His style varies widely from blues, to hard rock, to heavy metal. So, it's impossible to demonstrate his works in just a song or two but here's a few I like. He also has some pretty cool covers of classic guitar songs like wipeout and pipeline as well some excellent rocking versions of Christmas songs.

He's worthy of checking out in more detail.

Polyphony- Great find Codemonkey, you music archeologist!

RamSin your music caught me off guard. That's the kind of album I want to spin an early morning. Puts me in an unique mood. Mellow and Appalachian. Sounds like a cool band to drink beer and eat barbeque to.

Iowa Rams Night of the Proms event name reminded me of a song called Nights of the Living Dead by a band called Tilly and the Wall... Instead of a drummer they use a tap dancer. I was not familiar with Martin Fry. Since I waded thru a bunch of tunes I was not familiar with I thought I would go the flow.

Leuzer supplies me with alternative punk sort of like Social D. And Selassie as always is my Raggae music connection!
