Went to see these guys in concert with my pool buddies on Friday. It was a great show. Led ZepAgain is the band. Tribute band to the great Zep. If you get a chance they're worth checking out. They actually encourage you to video tape them in the concert and put it on youtube and facebook so they are all over the web. The problem is everything is amateur quality but you get the idea. They look exactly like it from 50 yards away...Especially after a couple of Grey Goose on the rocks.

We have always had a player piano in my house that my father restored. One of the old foot pump models. It was always a great time getting people to sing to those "songs that will never get old" at a party or family gathering. A player piano is the old fasioned version of karaoke (the words are on the paper roll and you just read) and Rock Band (we had fun before we had ipads, believe it or not) Anyway, one more entry to the songs that never get old ballot. This was a player piano sing along favorite. You know the words, Go ahead and sing!

Speaking of old songs - my roommate back in college days when we were both journalism majors was a bass player, loved Blood Sweat and Tears and had a mancrush on the singer David Clayton Thomas. So he stalked him until he got an interview, lol.

Al Kooper was the founder of the band but was kicked out and went on to work with and produced such acts as Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and many others. A fascinating guy. Here he is in the early days with blues guitarist Mike Bloomfield, Steven Stills(Buffalo Springfield, CSN&Y) in the Super Session project.
