Personally I would take the potential of Dolac over what we know in Troy Reeder.
Special teams included.
Troy Reeder to the veteran practice squad.
Dolan might be the safest to put on practice squad being that he’d HAVE to be on some team’s 53 for a period of time. I can see Reeder sticking until we see what we have with the rest. I’m guessing Reeder will be picked up if we try to stash him on the PS. Maybe I’m just hoping.

Has everyone watched Mumpfield highlights? Dude has springs for feet and changes direction way easier than anyone around him. A real ankle-breaker with incredible body control. Never seen anything like him.

thank you to fanotodd, DZrams,reekoframs....

you guys stood up for the ROD whipping boy Derion Kendrick...

he's a fucking football player... and i admit, it's cringeworthy some of the untimely blunders...

but mcvay would never put a shit on a stick corner on DK metcalf, or any of the MANY other #1's on the opposing team, that DK was on ALL game... if they didn't have or want to ...

there are reasons the rams put up with his blunders... maybe no one else was good enough? i don't know...

i hope he has the blunders in his rear view...

we'll see...

i'll root for the kid...

especially when very few around here see the upside, after the few, and i admit, very costly, errors...

go DK

go rams

The sports illustrated preseason 53 man roster has Troy Reeder as the starting linebacker next to Speights despite the Rams signing Nate Landman.
I don't think Troy Reeder even makes the 53.
One could argue Reeder lost his starter role due to injury (vs performance). We all know better but perhaps Rams are going to tag Reeder as the starter until he is “officially” beat out. Nice gesture for Reeder but it would be a huge disappointment if he is anything but depth/ST on the 53 man roster.

This is the way I think I s gonna go. Certainly, it’s the preferable outcome.

I agree he was put out there on the opposing #1 WRs out of necessity, but it was a bit much for him to handle.
His effort was admirable, his mistakes frustrating, and his penalties were at times, just plain stupid.

…but he’s not a bad football player and I believe there could be a role on this team for him. If not, I can live with it; but why would the Rams want to give up on him before camp? He’s in a contract year. Let’s see how much the young man has grown.

In regard to Reeder, I've got an honest question: has there ever been a time when McVay resigned a vet with years in the system as a starter or significant contributor and he didn't make the 53?

I'm not recalling examples. I feel Reeder will make the team...at least to start the season.

I have to disagree with you there
slo mo.
The ROD whipping boy is definitely Troy Reeder. :)
We've seen Troy Reeder as a starter and a veteran and he's extremely limited.
At least Derion Kendrick has potential to improve and contribute.
Hell, he was only a six rounder. I could see him making a huge comeback and contributing bigly.
