Who are your players past round 2 you think we might be have a shot at nabbing that you've fallen in love with? I'm off today so wth right? Here is a handle of guys I could see doing well in the NFL and potentially for our team if they are taken.

Benjamin St Juste CB Minnesota

I'm starting to like this guy a whooooole lot and he has the size and quickness to make up for any type of lack of coverage skills he might possess. Hell of a sure tackler as well. 6'3 205. Pairing him with Ramsey in the future could pay dividends.

Benjamin St. Juste recorded a staggering 3.96 shuttle, 6.63 three-cone drill and 4.51 40-yard dash. St-Juste is a unique corner at 6-foot-3, 205 pounds. He really made a name for himself in the Senior Bowl one-on-ones, where he earned the highest grade of any corner in attendance.

He's projected to go Rd. 3-5.

Ben Cleveland 6'6" 335lbs G Georgia

Probably not a debate that about half of everybody on the board feel that upgrading the interior on the line is a must this draft. With being able to kick Austin Corbett inside to center maybe taking a nasty strong Guard is prudent?

Cleveland is about as well proportioned a 6-foot-6, 343-pound guard as you’ll ever see. He was impenetrable in pass protection over the course of his career. He only had 13 pressures allowed across 600 pass-blocking snaps the past three seasons.

Round 3 - early 4th

Cameron McCrone LB Michigan 6'1" 236

Honestly he's going to need to have a redshirt year to get a year of coaching and weight training under his belt but I really feel that will help him out exponentially. Great speed, sideline to sideline closing play, loves contact and filling a hole. Great in coverage and rush assignments. Something our defense really needs! I'd be even pushed to say once 8 games goes by he might be a better option than what we have on the roster even with experience just by talent alone.

Round 3- early 4th

Osa Odighizuwa DL UCLA 6'2 279

No Brockers? No problem! Osa is a great run stopper like Brockers but might have a bit more athleticism for pass rushing than Brockers.

For a 5th-6th round pick? Shit that guy would do well filling into that Josh Reynolds role IMO the snaps DeSean isn't in the game and to be ready fulltime next year to tear it up.

Amari Rodgers WR Clemson 5'10 210

I made a mock and was asked " why do we need another WR with similar talents as Kupp or Woods?" Why the hell wouldn't you want another Woods or Kupp on your team? Son of Tee Martin he fits the mold of a McVay WR and player that has pedigree and football intelligence.

Brady Christensen OT BYU 6'6" 320\

I stretch (maybe end of round 2) but thinking early 3rd round because of the importance of the position. He reminds me so much of our aging LT.

Christensen broke the PFF record for overall grade by a tackle at 96.0 in 2020. While he is on the older side (24), Christensen’s dominance is difficult to ignore after allowing three pressures all last season.

These are the later round players I had picked for my post Senior Bowl Mock back on Feb. 1'st, ... they all performed quite well at the Senior Bowl and if they are available, I haven't changed my mind on any of them.

4a) CB - Benjamin St-Juste, Mn.
4b) Edge - Emerson Smith, N.Ia.
5) n/a
6) FB/TE - Ben Mason, Mi.

I won't lie, I wouldn't be displeased to see what he could do in McVay's system. From the outside looking in, is he a Tavon Austin type player?

Wow, love to see St-Juste up there on your list. When you made your mock I hadn't even looked at anything draft etc. Quite impressed by him.

Ben Mason? I'm so contradicting myself if McVay would draft a FB type of player with limited draft stock. If the answer is yes I have zero issue drafting Mason or Tremble with Notre Dame. I think in certain occasions it would be great to have a specialist help get those tough 1-3 yards we seemed to fail on last year.

Pretty much all those guys listed are on my favorites list (except maybe the Clemson WR).

Think Tavon Austin, but more of a receiver than a runner. Darden returns punts and kicks, is quick, is fantastic at running routes, and has a surprising catch radius for his size.
Small hands

And yet he catches more than you'd think with small hands. Yes, Darden is short, but he reminds me of what Tavon was projected to be when he came out in 2013.

Michael Strachan and Dai’Jean Dixon.
Two big, fast small school receivers.
One (Strachan) has not played a lot and the other had an arrest record.
If either of both make beyond round three I am grabbing either or both with Strachan being picked first.

IDK if that's wise picking up a guy with an arrest record and Desean in the same WR room! Good luck to that, going to be hauling ass and tipping over golf carts together...

I literally had this same argument with @Jrry years ago when I didn’t want Tavon and he was convinced Tavon was the ultimate weapon and would be great in the NFL. I said Tavon was another Dexter McCluster and not worth a first round pick. He said they are nothing alike because McCluster is a runningback and Tavon is a receiver.

Now you say Daerdon is a receiver and Tavon was a runner.

Reality is that little guys come into this league every year and cannot replicate what they did in college. Tyreke Hill is the only one that has reached the same ability he displayed in college in recent years. It’s unlikely that a guy my size will succeed against NFL defenses with the exception of some corners.
With so few draft choices in a short draft I hope the Rams don’t gamble on a guy like Daerdon. The odds are against them.

Tavon was always a running back playing receiver. His biggest game against Oklahoma? Mostly running the ball. The position he played before at high school? Running back. He was made into a receiver, but honestly, he wasn't better than, say, Stedman. Hell, Stedman probably helped him out a lot (and I would've killed to see Stedman in a McVay offense).

Darden reminds me of a Tavon who played as a wideout, not a running back. Yes, he can take end-arounds, but he's not the type who's going to have the ball handed off to him. Stylistically, he's like Tavon, but with much better route running, much better hands. Yes, he's short, but he's well-built for his size, and he returns punts, which only helps his case. We're talking a fourth round pick, not a top ten pick like Tavon was.

I’m always skeptical of tiny receivers. So few of them reach their projected ceilings, even as returners.

True, but Darden will be available in the fourth round, and getting a receiver/returner of his caliber in the fourth round is a good pick.

I dont even remember where he went to school, thought he had gotten kicked out of school and was a flyer who panned out?

He started at a community college and was a highly recruited Jr. He chose to attend Oklahoma State and looked to have a promising college career. Then after his first season he was dismissed from Oklahoma State due to his domestic abuse charges (choking and hitting GF).

He switched to West Alabama where he flashed potential but never really took off. He did very well in his pro day and teams loved his speed. KC drafted him in round 5. About 1.5 years after his domestic abuse conviction. Once again, the NFL proving how much they really are against abuse of women by their players.

Hill is short but he is a rock. He's all muscle. He looks like he's on roids. His neck is as big as his head.and

UCF WR Jacob Harris. But we would have to grab him before the 6th. 6'5"219 40 time of 4.40. Has played special teams his first years of college. Averaged 20 yards a catch. Needs a year of seasoning to run better routes but the kid has all the measurements.
