Matthews - Donald is probably the best case scenario for me.

I want Matthews really badly, but I would love any of the picks at #2 honestly, if we stay at #2, that is.

At #13....Donald is obviously my first choice, followed by Dennard/Gilbert. Don't like the safeties at all. My next prospects would be Jernigan or Mosley if those guys are gone.

I agree....I like Mack and Donald only for the reasons of building on our strengths. Turn our defense into the best in the NFL (my hopes anyways). I'd like the Rams then to hammer on DB's and OL the rest of the way out. Just my 2 cents----not a expert :)

Bump. A lot of people wanted Donald at 13 but weren't even sure he would be there.

I remember when @jrry32 brought up his name the thinking at the time was he could be had at the end of the 1st but as the draft neared he kept rising up the board until many thought he would go top 10. Luckily the teams before the rams are not that bright.

But then the rams took grob at #2. Derp.

If the Rams had taken Mack instead of GRob at #2, then Donald might not have fallen to #13, since the Raiders might have taken Donald then.

When I call Jeff Fisher an A.H. for drafting Greg Robinson with our #2 pick, what i'm really doing is calling myself an A.H. as I went with :

#2 - Robinson
#13 - Donald

Finding a LT might have helped Fish win enough games to stick around longer. So in that alternate universe McVay might be the 9er head coach.

From that perspective I think everything went down perfectly. :D

Great point and you could actually make the argument that any other player there may have cost us Donald.

So from that perspective, GRob was worth it to land AD.

I wasn't here at the time. I thought Robinson would at least be a very good OG. Wrong!

Didn't think Rams would go for Donald with having Brockers already.

Wanted them to trade up and get Martin later. Thought he was a good pick earlier too.

Lot's of good picks here.
