ok turd...you came back with articles to prove a point...

all the articles in the world doesn't change the reason for the "replce AD " shit you're selling on a rams site...

i think there is an nfl page for nfl news, and again you keeping it going with turd for brains comebacks...

keep it coming...

sorry you don't get the fact that there is a TEAM that has to replace AD...

i'll give you a hint, it's not the buffalo bills...

and 29 guesses to try to figure it out since you still are stuggling....

go bills... errr rams?

slo... but obviously way faster than a turd

Well I guess it's Turd against Tard.

I take a backseat in my Rams fandom to nobody (AD too). I've also watched Gable for years thinking "what if he went NFL?"

When the opportunity to pick him up as an UDFA opened up last month, I desperately wanted the Rams to sign him. I expect he had his pick of teams and chose the Bills based on their coach. McDermott is a defensive coach who was also a 2-time national wrestling champ in high school, so Gable probably figured that it would be the best fit as a development prospect.

Just stop Slo, I'm starting to feel sorry for you.

We're not replacing AD, let's be honest. But we've added four incredible pass-rushers in the draft (Jared Verse and Brennan Jackson on the outside, and Braden Fiske and Tyler Davis on the inside) to go along with two already great ones (Byron Young and Kobie Turner). We have three other second-year guys in Desjuan Johnson, Nick Hampton, and Ochaun Mathis, Michael Hoecht is a wild-card, and then there's the three defensive linemen we've added as UDFAs.

Honestly, if David Olajiga is the stud he seemed like against other players in the College Gridiron Showcase and Mizzou's Pro Day (6'3", 319 lbs.)...he could be special, Tuli Letuligasenoa is a three time-winner of Washington's best D-lineman award, and Anthony Goodlow had a lot of production at Oklahoma State.

We're doing a lot of the same things we did with Hoecht and Jonah Williams: try for athletic profiles in the UDFA portion. Maybe one of them is special? Who knows?

EDIT: Forgot about Bobby Brown III. BB3 is a solid run-stuffer. Excited to see what he can do in his contract year.

I missed that guy, Impressive for a big body DT.

Gable also dethroned a 3x world champion in the Olympic freestyle finals at age 21.

Look I get it, most NFL fans don't follow amateur wrestling. If he flops in the NFL, I'll eat crow. But if/when he hits, I'll be more annoying than the Creed Humphrey contingent on ROD.
Just when you thought you knew what you were talking about you have me :sunglasses:

Look at that All Pro Bad Boy!

Man if we just signed a guy like Robinson who has out performed that over rated midget and had this guy! Wonder if how things could of been different…

I get it but expecting a guy to make it big in the NFL with literally zero football experience is a huge reach. It could happen.

We keep hearing about pro rugby players yet how have they worked out?

I remember us taking players for our offensive line that had great wrestling experience but never really planned out. Maybe d-line is a better fit. I just have my doubts. If the guy pans out, look for that to be a possible trend. I just won't hold my breath.
Compare the Fisher method of picking athletic freaks who were raw football wise to McSnead's method of picking pure football players with less impressive physical skills. I know I jumped on the Greg Robinson train hard because of his freakish athletic test results and how did that work out?

Appreciate the thoughtful response Loyal.

McSnead recently took a runner in the 4th round on a converted soccer player to WR/TE who was an athletic freak (Jacob Harris). It was a fun, high-upside gamble that didn’t pan out at all.

Maybe they were a little gunshy, but Gable didn't require gambling a draft pick, just convincing him that he would have a development path on the team.

Lol..
They simply used Donald's size as a frame of reference. Sheesh.

And.. no.. this current regime doesn't gamble on physical talent/profile alone NEARLY as much as the Rams did with Fisher. Not even close. A 4th round swing here and there ain't the #2 overall pick in the draft.. Brian Quick.. we could get multiple, I'm sure.

The Rams are doing pretty well acquiring talent, imo.

Getting to this cut was no small feat. I think I'd be willing to bring him in, work him out, and see if maybe he's a good PS candidate.

I've been keeping tabs on him. He trained with AD (briefly in July), but his camp performance and pre-season PFF grades were well short of deserving a roster spot.

Probably ends up on a practice squad.
