[wrapimg=right]http://i.imgur.com/CGBAdg3.png[/wrapimg]The St. Louis Rams have not been scrambling to add wide receivers after watching Danny Amendola and Brandon Gibson sign elsewhere in free agency.

That should tell us what the team thinks of its young receiving targets.

"St. Louis was the place I wanted to be," Gibson told reporters covering his new team, the Miami Dolphins, "but you know, I think they wanted to go in a different direction with the receivers they drafted very early."

Brian Quick was a second-round choice in 2012. Givens was a fourth-round pick. Tight end Lance Kendricks was a second-rounder in 2011. Tight end Jared Cook, signed from the Tennessee Titans in free agency this week, was a third-round choice in 2009. Receiver Austin Pettis was a third-round choice in 2011.

The Rams are counting on Quick and Givens in particular.

"They have a lot of faith in them, and I as well have a lot of faith in them," Gibson said. "I think they do a great job while they're there and they do a great job of getting those other guys the ball, and Sam [Bradford] is going to do a great job of leading that team. So, I think they’ll be just fine without me."

The Rams could also supplement their receiving corps through the draft. They have two first-round picks this year and in 2014.

I'm happy for Gibson.

A 6th round pick just signs a 3yr deal (terms yet released).

I wish him well. Which makes it easier him being in the AFC.

I will say this much; no matter who scored a TD, Gibson was always among the first to celebrate with them.

I hope we don't miss him but fear we will. Good Luck to him in Miami.

Gibson not getting much love in this thread;

<a class="postlink" href="http://www.thephins.com/forums/showthread.php?75483-Merged-WR-Brandon-Gibson-agrees-to-terms" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.thephins.com/forums/showthre ... s-to-terms</a>

Just snooping their board... I didn't realize that even after signing Wallace a ton of fans still want Tavon Austin. They feel like the Gibson signing squashes that hope... Their interest in Austin shocks me after getting burned by Tedd Ginn.

ckparrothead 04:55 PM 03-15-2013 The GOOD about Brandon Gibson:

1. He's a solid route runner on comebacks, stop routes and fades. 2. He shows the potential for really solid hands and flashy catches. 3. He's 25 years old and could still be getting better.

The BAD about Brandon Gibson:

1. HE HAS VAGINA FEET after the catch. 2. Inconsistent route runner on slants and in-breaking routes. 3. An "almost" guy. Almost a dazzling catch. Almost got his feet in bounds, etc. 4. Practically useless on vertical routes because he's slow.

Vagina feet lmao really?? No better way to compare it lol
And I feel I'm being kind in the above description.

Yep.

Gibby is a good receiver and will do fine in Miami. Wish we could have kept him. Love that kid.

Sounds weird, but I'm going to miss him more than Amendola.

I'll miss Gibby more than Danny too.. but I won't miss Gibby lining up wrong and disappearing at times...
