Obviously we didn't draft a swing tackle in the draft.
Noteboom is a free agent, knows the system, and can play both tackle spots, as well as at guard in a pinch.
His only problem, which is a big one, has been staying healthy, but he can play decently.
If he would sign for cheap, would you bring him back?
I'd trust him a lot more than an undrafted guy to back up both spots.
Mclendon can only play RT, and even that is a question mark.
Fuck noooooo!

i don't trust him to make it to the second quarter when he does get a start...

is he taking cap money if we let him walk?

what are the odds someone else picks him up for the reason we might desperately need him...

i'm in the no camp, but could change my mind if desperate times call for desperate measures...

go rams

Backup tackle is the biggest hole on the team right now and I am still a hard NO!
Would prefer they roll with Arcuri, McClendon, & Leveston as backup options rather than Noteboom and that's not saying much IMO

Q? What has McClendon done or not done to sour fans? In the 5 games he started, the Rams allowed 15 sacks, 3 of which McClendon was credited with allowing.

He had a couple of solid games at RT and a disaster of game at LT.
Its like going to a restaurant.....if its an ok meal with decent service, people don't really remember it.
The great ones and bad ones people remember.
Its why some bs thing like Yelp with have a bund of 5 and 1 star ratings.
Anyway, he's been ok overall at RT.

Probably better to keep developing the younger guys. They still have room for improvement. Noteboom is at his ceiling. Which isn't very high. I'd knock my head if I stood up under his ceiling.

So it’s unanimous Noteboom sux and support for him stands between Hell and No - so for the vet minimum sure let’s bring the band back together (Reeder, Note, Demby, Allan Robinson).
What, no love for the outstanding Bobby Evans?

Of course injuries can derail the best of teams but I see a back-up for every position on the Rams but one ... Left Tackle.

There is so little out there but I keep coming-back to Jedrick Wills.
Wills was the 10th overall pick in 2020 and a Day-1 starting LT in Cleveland. He has not been durable, especially over the past two seasons but he is a free agent.

I am not sure how much cap space the Rams have as cap sites have not up-dated for Stafford's restructure. I'm not suggesting anything more than a one-year deal that I am guessing would have to be for $4-$6M at a minimum. Not sure if that would work for Wills but I think it would be an excellent insurance policy.

We need a swing tackle and he has game starts under his belt so it’s a consideration. I thought that we were trading up for an OT when we picked Ty so either they have a plan or are not concerned for reasons beyond me

If we keep him again thist year after the constant disaointment that is Joe Noteboom, our scouting dept has a bling spot.
