Any of you guys watching? Looking forward to the game tomorrow. U.S. vs. Canada again. Let’s go!

I'm still recovering from the stress of last years Dodgers / Blue Jays series....... I don't start focusing on baseball until mid August, to me watching baseball before August is like watching rush hour traffic in LA.

Webby pitched great again. He’d look great in Dodger blue. Dave Robert’s really likes him.

Maybe 2027.

Great pitching duel with what many say are the two most explosive offenses in the tourney. Great game!

I realize people are going to complain about that last pitch but it had a wicked drop right at the end and if you’re sitting on a 3-2 pitch with two outs and a runner on third, you should be protecting that plate. SWING Mutherfucker!

Exactly. What happened to that expression even? "Protect the plate" It seemed to disappear along with the convenient visible strike zone on TV. We've become spoiled, thinking it is so obvious a 90-100mph pitch is a ball or strike.

It's not! Add to that this new ethic where everyone is such an expert on the nuances of the strike zone, and takes every pitch that doesn't hit black.

You are down to the last pitch and you take the chance of letting that great pitch go?? You deserved to get rung-up.

Like you said, SWING Mutherfucker!

Yep. Not sure where that high powered offense was. Didn’t really see it much all tourney.
Yeah Tarik Skrewbal didn’t exactly help coming in for his little cameo then taking off. Get guys willing to stick it out to the end.

And the “Murderers row” lineup was embarrassing.

Pathetic. Now I get there was some pretty good MLB pitching on some of those other teams, but once again the mighty Aaron Judge watched strike three, on the heals of the tying home run in the eighth. Way to kill the mood, Yankme slugger.

On the other side of the coin the pitching did pretty well, setting aside the fact starting pitching wasn’t that deep after Skrewbal’s departure.

Well at least we can say we are now good in hockey...

I say let college players go out and do the baseball classic. I get tired of watching pros weasel their way into everything.... No excitement at all.

I know our chances of winning would be less. But I’m kinda with you on this. Of course now top college players are not exactly amateurs anymore, so what’s the real difference?
