Unions... management... neither should be left to their own devices.

Balance.

This is a good example and @ozarkam seems to fully understand the one side.

Truthfully I am on the other side now. (management) But old habits die hard.

Interesting.

So, having been on both sides, what are your thoughts on each (side)?

Does the intended result of balancing things out for both sides work, as a general rule?

In my heart I will always be pro worker. Having said that. In a union setting its all about the contract. From the union side play by the rules and its all good. From a management perspective document, document, document. Dot all I s cross all T s. From my experience is there a balance, there can be. But no its a war.

Didn't expect this thread to go down the Union/Dark side, uh, I mean Management road but good discussion. To be honest, I think a lot of union membership feels stuck in the middle these days. But I've always felt my union didn't have the horsepower of yesteryear. From the outside looking in, the Teamsters seem like the last bully on the block and I say that in a good way. It's good to have Bruno and Guido standing in the shadows with a club. :sneaky: And I do see both sides of the fence, I just hate the dishonesty, hypocrisy, and the deception that is constantly at play.

Will give you updates. Right now, I think arbitration is taking shape.
