I have been hearing chirping of Packer's fans, as they try to downgrade the Rams somehow. As though we had the success that we did because the of the hole left by Aaron Rodger's Packers absence. Rodgers is a great QB who could exploit a Fisher led Rams team. He may have been able to shred our secondary under the right circumstances, last year.

I don't feel like he could do that to this team. With Suh, Donald, and Brockers charging up the middle and the best starting duo of corners in Peters and Talib..Plus Joyner and Johnson at safety. LBers will be ok, I think with the excellence of the Dline and backfield. You pick an excellent QB, and I think the Rams can handle him, and I have not believed that in many years.

Ya, I'm still in the "pinch me" stage when I think how good our Def can be. The thing for me is the LBs rookies from last year got some very important snaps that the main stream media doesn't realize. Plus we could get some help from some good under rated prospects in Kiser / Scales / Oko / Lawler & Young.

Wade seems to have an eye for talent @ LB, just like Snead does for DBs.

Were in good hands and in like 90 days its on like Donkey Kong fellas!!!

My only concern is the back up NT. Need a goalie guy to give us some snaps imho

We haven't gotten to see Phillips' D against ARod (at least not with the Rams), but I will say he's a very scary player. Mostly because he can just do it all, inside the pocket, outside the pocket, timing throws, scrambles, etc. Wentz is a similar player and we weren't doing very well against him last year prior to the injury.

That being said, we have all the elements of an elite shutdown D and the Seahags (bleh) did very well against Rodgers when they were in their prime.

Wentz scares me a bit as does Wussell because they can keep plays alive. We have a lot of beef up front and great DBs but if they can tire out the beef and gain chunks on our LBs, they could be trouble for us. Other than that, my main concern would be Ryan and not because he is a great QB but because of all those weapons.

I can't wait to see this defense play together and until then, I will hold that they are going to be really difficult for any QB to beat us. But until I see them play together, I won't know if they have any real exploitable weaknesses.

I've seen too much of Aaron Rodgers to count him out. He definitely puts the fear of fate into me because he can carve up defenses - even good ones - like a Thanksgiving turkey.

Otherwise? I'm not scared of any other quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers can and will shred any defense in the NFL..Period. The opponent doesn't matter, if he's playing at the top of his game you can't stop him. I hope Goff gets to that level in a few years :).

But overall we're a better team than GB and I think we'll beat them in a playoff game. IMO we can compete with any team in the league now regardless of their QB.

Well if that's really what they're saying is the reason why.....they're full blown brain dead. Last time i checked the Packers aren't in the NFC West. You know...the division that the Rams won...and automatically put them into the playoffs.

Green Bay could have went undefeated and the Rams still get in.

I didn't realize how many good QBs the Rams potentially face this year. Tougher sledding than last year.

Defense's mettle will be tested early and often. Can't afford to have 'B' and 'C' effort games.

The QB's will fear the Rams defense way more than the Rams defense will fear the QB's.
