I put the offensive woes mostly on the play of Stafford. Stafford holding on to the ball too long, throwing not one but two bonehead interceptions and the inability of Stafford to maneuver around a pretty healthy pass rush led to a half from hell. McVay could have recognized something was off and made adjustments sooner but I don’t expect to see that level of play from Stafford again this year.
This is the longest I’ve seen a troll post last on ROD. Mods must be getting old

This may be partly due to pre-game strategy. Maybe McVay felt the Titans could be beaten deep and wanted Stafford to be looking for it. The idea could have been to get an early lead with some big plays because Tennessee wouldn’t be able to catch up with their ball control offense.
That drop back passing game was bound to catch up to them sooner or later. McVau needs to keep working both all of the offense. Play action, drop back, zone blocking and naked bootlegs. Keep the offense fluid in it all so that they can easily switch on the flu as well as McVay call all different play styles spontaneously.
I liken it to the martial arts that I used to do as a kid. In Hung Kuen (Dragon, Snake, Tiger ,Leopard, Crane style) you get taught moves according to each animals way of fighting. A master can move from one technique to another fluidly mixing each style. A novice tends to chain moves from each animal, or often sticks to one animal style too much, leading to being read by the opponent and defeat. McVay needs to become a master. It would be impossible for a defensive coordinator to create a defense to defend it.
Well, we did win 4 in a row after that. Maybe we'll need another bad game before the playoffs.
It is kind of funny how after that last loss my idea of what we need is more physicality in the backfield at RB. What do the Rams do? Go sign a WR.
And now with the 9ers knowing their only chance (just like the Titans last week) is to disrupt the front and win in the trenches we might not have Allen.

I'm all for trying to pick out where we think our team is weak or hope to improve but is anyone else over all the negativity about the rams on this board? I'm not sure if it's sincere in some cases or closet Jared fans that are like Mr Burns on the Simpsons waiting to say "told you so." We obviously all want a Superbowl and we may not all agree on all the moves or choices or players performances but one thing that is evident is that this team not only has broken the mold and the rules (legally of course) but how can one not get excited over how they do business how dedicated they are to winning and how they really do say screw it we are going balls to the wall. I wish all my teams were like that.
They trade for Miller and it's well they still have no ILB and gave up picks. They go get OBJ basically for free and well they have no offensive line. If the criticism is warranted I get it but back it up with facts. One bad game by the offensive line and they are horrible suddenly. One bad game for Stafford and he is a loser from Detroit and Goff would have won that game.
The rams have given us gift after gift and we are all waiting for the main gift but that's something that doesn't come with a guarantee. Injuries, bad performances, a bad bounce, a deflection of a football, or an untimely fumble can very easily change your course.
The Rams and organisation have basically given us almost a pro bowl roster now we need to execute. Those are the things we do control but what we do not control is luck so I for one applaud this organisation for giving us excitement time after time even when not playing on the field. Sure we could use a player here or there but nothing will guarantee a Superbowl but they have given us the best shot they can. I am proud always even in the dark times but now this is just like a high a wave we are riding and something we may never see again. Snead has altered the NFL starting back from the ogletree trade Watkins etc. I like that the rams have changed the NFL and maybe even become hated by other fan bases. We all know though hate usually comes from jealousy. So here's to winning a Superbowl and let's try and focus more on the positive. In a perfect world I'd like the dolphins to release Howard and he sign for 25 bucks and some bitcoin because he would only play for the rams but this is it. Our gun is fully loaded time to take our best shot!

I’m a little nervous about Stafford still needing to learn such lessons this late in his career. I have some nagging concerns that this is just who he is and why his record against strong teams is so poor.
Holding out hope that he will improve as he gets more and more comfortable with the offense. But a seasoned vet should not be making the kind of stupid plays he made in the EZ last week.
I sorta agree. Goff maybe but Stafford should have known better on 5he 2 ints. Plus should have known better to just throw it away. Not all the Tenn sacks were on Stafford but some for sure were.
He has 12 years in the league and touted as a top 5-7 QB these were bad mistakes.
It's also worth noting that the Titans under Vrabel have always excelled as underdogs.
This one was hard for everyone to see because the perception was that the talent disparity was too much.
It was obvious that they would need to win the LoS and they only did that on one side of the ball. Truly a fluke in every sense of the word and I would be relieved to see them in February

While none of us like to lose, what bothers me most is in the manner we do it.
Against Arizona, Kyler Murray exposed our DB's, which also created a secondary effect, allowing for their running game to eat our lunch. The Rams were down midway thru the 2'nd quarter and McVay largely abandoned our own RB's who were having success. Stafford attempted 41 passes and Hendo/Sony had 17 total rushes.
Against Tennessee, the Rams beat themselves and looked out of sync or ill-prepared for much of the game. Our interior OL collapsed as Stafford also held onto the ball for an excessive amount of time, getting himself sacked 5 times along the way. Throwing his two interceptions cost us dearly, but we weren't really out of the game as the Titans were having trouble of their own moving the ball. Still, we got behind and again abandoned a pretty successful running game. Stafford had 48 passing attempts & our two RB's had a total of 18 rushing attempts. To be honest, I'm not as worried about our personnel as I am about McVay calling a more balanced game, even Morris appears to be learning on the job as our defense played quite well against Tennessee. Thing is, I love McVay/Snead and greatly appreciate what they've done to turn things around in L.A., but perfect we are not, and it's not perfection I seek, just a little more balance to our approach. jmo.
