Sending children to the guillotine because they happened to be born to priveledge is not a particularly great concept.
Napoleon had a grand vision of a united Europe run by the people and the end to all aristocracy .He wanted a peaceful Europe under one Government and one economic power.
Nearly 200 years later after he lost at Waterloo his vision is actually coming true.
The economies of Europe are uniting and borders are coming down , the aristocracy is all but a figure head with no real power."

The French revolution also unseated a monarchy, which is a good thing for if you believe in the rule of the people by the people.
