and one of the worst Olines in the league. put a pocket passer back there and that D and running game gets them to 8-8. Wilson is no Aaron Rodgers but Rodgers wouldn't survive half a season in Seattle. no Wilson and Lynch gets stacked up in the box every down.

Just as a reminder, Trent Dilfer won a Superbowl with the Ravens. Wilson isn't as great as some people think he is.

One could argue; Wilson cost the Seahawks the last SuperBowl with the game ending INT.

Is that what happens when the game is put on his shoulder?

Me: he's better than a game manager. But not convinced he's got the passing skill to carry a team.

Jimmy Graham has 7 receptions for 85 yards in three games vs the Rams. He's never had a back like Lynch to take the pressure off him though. I really look forward to our match ups this year.

1.5 quality posts per year. :sneaky:

Good to see you, OS.

Well, no RB in today's game is worth that because Marshall Faulk retired awhile ago.

I would love to see them break the bank to keep Wilson. The Rams know how to beat him up and win against that team. Lock him in for the next 10 years.

He's not great but I think he is a little better than average. If the rest of the league could defend against him as good as the Rams he'd be hurt more and not getting all those 3 and 20 runs.It will catch up with him just like nearly every other "running QB" there has been. The odds are against him. The problem with all that, not many teams can match what the Rams have in the front 7.

I was also really hoping Lynch would pack it in after the superbowl but, I don't think the Rams are afraid of that team they have done a damn good job against them even with scrubs at QB the last two years.

and how was Dilfers Oline ranked those years, id like to see those numbers. you can compare apples and oranges all day but Wilson doesn't get more than a second or two to release that ball without having to constantly start moving around. i guess we'll agree to disagree. while Wilson is not perfect he definitely single handed won a handful of games to get them to those super bowls. I believe the Rams have shut down Lynch multiple times in the run game and it was Wilson that burnt us. But its cool thats your opinion. I'd kill to get him in St. Louis

How can he single handedly win a handful of games? The defense had to keep them within striking distance or he wouldn't have had a chance. Just him on the field, and the other team scores a TD every time.

In 2000, Ravens QBs were sacked 43 times on an average of every 7.9 attempts. Their QB rating was 72.7

In 2014, Russell Wilson was sacked 42 times on an average of every 8.5 attempts. His QB rating was 95.

All this tells me is that even I'm a better QB then Trent Dilfer and Tony Banks. Not a good comparison.

He's a sand lot QB. He buys time until the play call falls to shit and then he's good at finding the one guy who sneeks his way open. When he can't find an escape and has to actually process information and make accurate throws to a specific place he has problems.

He's good probably better than most but is he worth what he wants probably not but I also think that the qb position has become overvalued in regards to salary. Just look at the Saints as an example where the team suffered because they couldn't pay anyone else.

I agree. I think there are several positions overvalued compared to others.

I've said it before, but it bares repeating, The Rams seem to handle opposing TE's real well!!

thanks for making my point cus its actually an excellent comparison. every single person on this forum has watched Wilson break tackle after tackle and escape sack after sack to turn a loss into something big. you watch him do it against the Rams constantly. if that was Dilfer in Seattle he wouldn't be sacked Wilson's 42 it would be more like 62. So Wilson took as many hits as Dilfer, evaded countless more and had a much better QB rating. bro you just made my point.
