Yeah I'm not sure it's always a good thing to be fast to pivot from a perceived mistake rather than take the time and energy to work on it....Yes a great strength but on occasion, perhaps, too willing...
Like Merlin, I appreciate McVays ability to cut his losses, be decisive and make the tough choices.... but like you, I'm not sure it's always a good thing.
It's like aggressiveness in gambling or at QB or as a General.... fortune favors the bold... he takes his chances and big risks, usually smart ones, but when you play like that, sometimes you make the wrong call and you get got...
