Yes a great strength but on occasion, perhaps, too willing...
Yeah I'm not sure it's always a good thing to be fast to pivot from a perceived mistake rather than take the time and energy to work on it....

Like Merlin, I appreciate McVays ability to cut his losses, be decisive and make the tough choices.... but like you, I'm not sure it's always a good thing.

It's like aggressiveness in gambling or at QB or as a General.... fortune favors the bold... he takes his chances and big risks, usually smart ones, but when you play like that, sometimes you make the wrong call and you get got...

Atwell can do what he was drafted for, a fast deep threat with good hands, like most members of ROD, it isn't that he was drafted, but that he was drafted in the 2nd, but just maybe McVay had info that Atwell would be drafted before our next pick. Trust in Sean M.

Rams really need Atwell to break out, by which I mean having some recurring impact in games. He won't play every down but I believe he has the ability to do so. Not just by opening up space but by making plays. Hopefully downfield but also stretching the field horizontally.

McVay play design and Stafford's willingness to go to him will also be crucial to making this happen.

Still haven’t seen a QB overthrow him
Add to that his uncanny ability to track a football at top speed and catch it on either side of his body at the last split second. I don't know if he'll have a breakout year or not, but I will venture that Stafford trusts him on certain routes and it is probable that Atwell will continue to further expand & hone his route running as his targets increase this year. Kupp, Stafford, McFleur will coach him up. That said, I will admit to being really pissed when the Rams passed on Creed Humphrey.

3rd year for Atwell, so it's now or never on the Rams. I could see McVay go 4 wide a bit this season. Last Drive of the Super Bowl Rams lined up in Gun for most of the drive, 2 by 2 for the receivers, no movement, no motion, Stafford just dropped back, got good pass pro and just picked apart the D. Atwell should have a roll this season.
