Will Rd 2 really tell us what McVay/Snead think about our roster?

Yes I’m quoting myself.
They lose Gurley and trade Cooks. The two of them were big parts of the offense. So it became a glaring need to them. Snead definitely drafted for need in this one.

So you do you think they should have drafted instead?

They have faith in the O lineman that are on the roster. Big sign of confidence in Evans and Edwards in particular IMO. Still time to grab a developmental C.

well, they definitely think the oline is set and it will improve greatly moving forward.

josh reynolds is not in their long term plans.
I have been in agreement with your first sentence now for some time.(y):)

I imagine that its Cooper Kupp that not being strongly considered in Rams Org plans. Re-signing Kupp will demand serious salary cap funds something that is & will continue to be in short supply due to Donald/ Goff/ (& soon) Ramsey contracts.

Reynolds might  be in the long term plans much more in line with the teams major bleeding of cap funds resources. New Ram prospect pass catcher Van Jefferson is primarily a slot WR. We all know who has been our SL since 2017 & it was not Cook/ Woods or Reynolds?

I don't know...they also lost LB's, and the OL is unproven (although I personally have hope).
Perhaps they just decided to draft the best 2 players on the board?

i don't think kupp is going anywhere.

there's plenty of cap space next season and beyond. woods is coming towards the end of his contract and he won't be signing an extension as cheap as his current contract. if the rams have to choose between kupp and woods they're gonna choose kupp.

Id have taken Baun and Cushenberry. Or Josh Jones, Logan Wilson, Jonah Jackson, Matt Hennessy, or Ashtyn Davis.
Maybe they had a deal to trade up to take Cushenberry in round 3 and that’s why McVay seemed upset. But coming away with at least one of a good Center or a good LBer would improve this draft imo. They still have subpar line backing and Interior Oline problems that existed at seasons end. I don’t see WR as a huge problem, and think they could get a decent Runningback in later rounds.

Well, in conclusion I guess the ENTIRE draft tells us that McVay & Snead think that our OL will come along this year, and our LB's are in the same boat.
Think about it - what are they gonna do, keep drafting OL, year after year, and not let any of them develop to the point of being quality starters?

Yeah I am bummed because, at draft time, fans always nail who will be in the SB the next year.
