I would like to see what Rapp could do against him. If he can shut down Cook we know he is as good as advertised.

Cook always seems to hurt the Rams and I expect him to have a good game, but hopefully, it does not change the outcome.

Jared Cook is bound to break out some time. I was surprised with his modest production last week. He's just a heck of an athlete. Sometimes it takes a while for free agent players to develope that chemistry with the QB. I'm not sure what coverage Cook was drawing last week. It's only week two so who knows.

I'd say probably - with Talib last year in the playoffs, Thomas wasn't much of an issue. I'd bet Cook has a huge game.
The focus will be Kamara>Thomas. So Cook would be a good choice to put up some yardage. Prob for him is we have 3 safeties who can cover. IMO our history of being prone to TEs is gonna change this season.

Oh and Jared Cook is a turd. F him.

Cook will get his catches and probably a few drops, maybe a fumble. He is a beast, but he doesnt seem to have the desire to reach his fullest potential.

He never did crap when he came to the Rams from Tennessee and I for one was happy to see the Rams not show any interest in re-signing him. From what I've seen of him he does not give 100 % effort all the time and only plays when he wants to. He reminds me of a kid that thinks he is better than he really is. Good athlete just not a really good football player, (weak minded)!

Littleton > Cook
JJ3 > Cook

He might get some receptions. He might even get a decent gain or two and even get in the end zone.
Those things happen.
But I dont buy for a second that the Rams dont have the right players to defend against Jared fucking Cook. Sorry. He is tall and can run straight. That's it.

Littleton will spy Kamara. Best cover LB in NFL last week. Likely would be NCR or Weddle on Cook. You might as well send in a rusher over Cook when he lines up next to the tackle. That dude never wanted to learn how to block or chip for that matter.

Do we think the saints have been saving him? Avoiding excess film on him for a reason? Hasn't been hugely productive yet. If not for this game, when?

To paraphrase Dennis Green, Cook was who we thought he was. A guy with incredible talent who has consistently underachieved no matter where he ends up going. When the going got tough today, he was nowhere to be found.
