Will Dolac Overtake Speights?

So happy when we extended him. He is a multi-purpose tool that has quickly become a very valuable piece
in the Rams Machine. No doubt one of my favorites.
The rebuilt CB room is so Huge! It will affect every other D. position group.
I don't think I have been this excited about our Defense since we signed Von Miller to a
already stacked defense.:)

The rams always lean towards the incumbent. The rook will have to beat him out by a lot.

Lake got reasonable crap for getting smoked by JSN in the playoffs and in general not doing that well coming back from injury but he was lights out before injury playing nickel and safety often trailing the receiver across the formation or rotating early in the down between the two spots to confuse offenses.

I expect great things next year.

...I'm still fucking pissed that the Broncos took Red Murdock with the Mr. Irrelevant pick. I'm hoping he gets cut and we sign him; I'd love to see him and Dolac - his ex-teammate - start together at linebacker. I know it's a pipe dream, but I've had pipe dreams become true before (Whittington, Forbes, etc.).

Pretty sure he's the same size as Dolac, or even smaller and probably slower.
 
Landman, Speights and Stuard have their roster spots locked down.
I think the Rams keep four and LB with Dolac rounding out the four.
I think Dolac will earn more time as the season goes on and may replace Speights by late season. One thing for sure, I like this group so much more than the LB room just a couple of years ago.

Very interesting indeed...

UDFA Alabama's ILB Nikhai Hill-Green should push Speights & Neal onto defense team #3.

If the Rams can keep their four veteran safeties healthy, thus giving DC to insert Safety McCollough inside in place of Speights or Landman......should prove positive.

In the majority of our dime looks - which we played a league high - McCollough played next to Landman as the "dime-backer" replacing Speights.

True , but I’m more of a MLB that is a Run stuffer.Wonder how this Green from Bama ??

I think The Rams defense is going to use more DB’s for coverage.They basically on have 2 LBers,plus the Pass Rush Edge.

Stewart was placed inside at times which showed his versatility.Really keeps him on the field & puts The Rams in good match ups that puts more pressure on QB’s trying to read coverages.

Yeah - Josh Wallace took a lot a Reps inside.He isn’t that good as a CB,but that versatility is what might keep him on the roster ?

He will put pressure on Jaylen,because if I recall ?v???v??
He took his spot (injuries)at times.

Not the biggest Stat guy.I just notice certain things during games. Think I might have fast forwarded a couple series late in the season,or with an eye shut.
