Too early. He doesn't have all the tools, but he's pretty dang good.

If Davis gets paid, Bradford is gone.

Let me put it this way, Playoffs and it's his.

All depends on his play.
He nails it this and next year. Top ten-ish he will get paid going rate
 
I don't know if you strictly tie a win/loss record to Austin Davis, if our defense leaks like a hole in a row boat...If he does his job by making smart plays, playing very difficult teams, and our defense loses games....You still pay the man at season's end. Chris Long returning will help the Rams in so many ways, especially setting the edge against the run and providing pressure from his position for Quinn to get his sacks.....

Davis is going to be tested like many rookies never get done to them..He looks up to the task to me.
 
Get some more good performances out of him - trade him for a premium pick to Washington and draft Winston.

We don't have to worry about the playoffs this year.
 
I'd like to see the Rams offer him a three or four year security deal that is 2nd tier money and see if he is willing to take it. But big payday is out of the question for now.

They'll have to wait until after this season at least and then grade his performance and more importantly growth.
 
If he continues to produce at his current pace, he'll finish the season comfortably over 4000 yards and 25 TD's. Should it materialize, that kind of production will be hard to ignore in contract talks.
