Mike Tomlin will always have an NFL HC job. He’s a good coach that can make bad teams play above their potential. But if I was trying to win a Super Bowl, I don’t want him anywhere near my franchise.

.

I'm not sure getting bumped out of the playoffs every season in the first week while looking pedestrian is any better than fisher's 7 and 9 bullshit.

I can say based off the opinion of Steelers fans in my life, it is not much better. In some ways it’s worse.

safe to say, if Tomlin was the coach of the Rams, with his playoff record, the torches and pitchforks would be out

think Tomlin survives this?

I hope not the dude is a turd of a coach. I know some members will disagree with me but Tomlin does just enough year after year to keep his job. But never enough to win the big game.

He reminds me of Jeff Fisher. Good defensive mind but can't seem to figure out the offensive side of the ball

Tomlin is the bizzarro (DC comics reference- opposite of basically) version of Fisher. Always just above .500 instead of just under it.

After watching both of these playoff gms I came out of them with 2 things.
1. I don't want to hear Herbert's name mentioned in a conversation about elite qbs. He's just not that guy.
2. It's time to move on from Tomlin. A HC who can't develop qbs is useless in today's nfl. Never would I have thought that Pitt would be a free playoff bye in my life.

No Tank Dell? No problem. The Chargers invented a way to get blown out anyhow. Add that to a long list of heart crushing losses that ended the Chargers season.

Unless Denver finds a way against BUF the Texans next stop will be in KC.

Tomlin just needs talent at QB. He runs the ball. He fields a good defense. The fact the Steelers GM hasn't gotten him a QB is a travesty.

Though in a way he's like McVay in that he wins so damn much they never get to pick early.

Chargers have to be shaking their heads at halftime here. This game could have been over early
So true! I was watching the condensed highlights, and the Chargers had every opportunity to blow it wide open early. Herbert looked lost out there in the 2nd half, maybe stunned from all the hits.
