Why no “Tavon” motion plays?

I have no stomach to rewatch the game yet, so can’t confirm if it was TA or other WR coming across, but early in the game they ran this twice without handing it to crosser.

I just got the sense watching this season, there were so many creative plays off of this motion, I kept waiting to see it kick in last night.

They just seemed to stop doing it.

During the season, they faked the run one way and pitched the ball the other and that was always good for a big chunk off this motion.

Out of sorts indeed.

it is the same thing McVay did against seahawks in first game. It must be something with the style of defense. Although we might have seen some of it if we hadn't turned the ball over twice early and lost possession time.

I think if a team plays zone you can do all the motion you want and they’re not moving. So it’s not as effective.

Yes, me too. At least giving them something else to defend.

You’d think that focusing on stopping Gurley AND TA off this motion would have freed up some things downfield. The Falcons still managed tight coverage just trying to stop Gurley (who should have gotten more opps as well).

In any case, gotta give them mad credit, they played really well on the road.
