This week, it seemed the entire NFL drank some crazy Flavor-Aid. Frankly, it woulda made a whole lotta more sense as a week 1, but it is what it is.

I mean WHO played the parlay with the Jags, Washington, Raiders, Browns and Bucs ALL winning???

Cuz, ya know... I sure didn't. After over-estimating the Eagles in Week one, I figured I was safe in Week 2 going with the Saints at home. NOPE. Out in TWO. Freaking hate survivor leagues. Have the worst luck.

Anyway, I'm just not worried.

If we get to the bye at 1-4? Yeah, then I'll be worried, but even then there are paths to the playoffs depending on how we play in getting to that (do we play tough as hell, but just lose some heartbreakers or do we get our clocks cleaned and just play bad?)

Frankly, I think at the very least we'll be a whole lot tougher at home and THIS game on the road will wake this team up. And this team learns.

I'd rather have this lesson early than late: They aren't sniffing themselves anymore... after that beatdown, this young team KNOWS that unless they bring that Week One intensity, they won't be the team they can be. If they DO bring that intensity and discipline, then they can beat anyone.

Who shows up next Sunday? I dunno. We'll see. But I'm not worried. This was a crazy week and this young team learned a valuable lesson EARLY. We weren't going undefeated, so I'd rather this team learned that we have to treat every team like they are the Seahawks, because we've seen what happens when we don't.

Let's just say that I surely don't expect to get ROFLSTOMPED like the 9ers did. I expect this to be a really tough game and I expect both our O and our D to be much more focused and have much more energy than this past week.

Wish I could agree.

But if I drink anymore koolaid with this team I'll fall into an alcoholic stupor I'll never fight out of.

We say these same things every season. We could pull up a lot of threads from last year if we wanted and they would be pretty much saying the same sort of things.

I'll gladly drink the koolaid. What do I have to lose by it?

You? Nothing I guess. Me? A waste of 4 hours on beautiful Sunday's which could be spent stress free and happy. I'd rather be happy than pissed off every Sunday because this team under Fish sucks a fat one at least every other week.

I wish I agreed, but there's only so many times I can see and cosign on the same why I'm not worried thread before I start to see there's a trend.

I won't say I'm not worried but I will say that this doesn't spell the end of our season either. That team I saw opening weekend was real. And I think/hope they will show that through most of the season. Sure hope this was some kind of wake up call. Guess I'll have to revise my year end record guess to 18-1

Don't worry, Fisher will figure out that the pre-season is over. Probably in three or four more weeks!

I just don't know what to think--about the Rams or the NFL or any of it.

I can't figure it out.

On any given Sunday, I guess.

Do we really know who the good teams are yet? Go read an Eagles board right now. Bradford is getting blasted. Calls for Sanchez. Blasting Chip Kelly. Is Philadelphia a good team? Doesn't look like it but who knows?

One week--excellence---the next---disaster.

No idea.

Either the Rams will rise above it and establish themselves as contenders or they will be pretenders. The truth is on the field and in this season.

No one can feel good about today and of course there are big doubts now.

Yes--I'm very concerned about the offensive line, Foles shaky play today, the MLB position.

But they do have a few other pieces coming in on offense--Quick and Gurley--so we'll see.

The defensive line didn't have the best day but I'm not worried about them. And as far as linebackers Ogletree was a monster.

I have faith that we will see more performances like last week than this week from the defense. I just do. But there will be other weeks like this too--just more of the latter.

I don't have any real sense of what the offense will be but I believe they'll be better than this.

Those are just feelings--not worth much. But it's too early for me to throw in the towel on the season considering the state of the league.

I'll remain hopeful. We'll see what next week brings.

By the way....this from an Eagles board:

"The guards.
That is the #1 reason why the offense sucks.
Without them, the Eagles can't run.
Without running, Sam Bradford looks like Nick Foles 2.1."

Foles will need that running game if this offense is ever going to get any consistency. I'm hoping Gurley helps with that. Foles is not going to ever be a QB who takes over the game. But he can be good. The Rams can win with him. But they gotta get the running game working.

We weren't going undefeated, so I'd rather this team learned that we have to treat every team like they are the Seahawks, because we've seen what happens when we don't.

Well see now that's the job of the coaching staff isn't it? Every season we are one of the youngest teams and the players just need to gain experience, or so the mantra goes. When players look lost and unprepared, I tend to blame the people in charge first - the coaching staff.

Yes, it's the job of the players to execute the plays but it's the responsibility of the coaching staff to make sure they do and hold them accountable when they don't.

Don't worry, Fisher will figure out that the pre-season is over. Probably in three or four more weeks!

Had a conversation with my son, the Redskins fan, a few hours ago and I told him this game looked like pre-season game #5.

We have the 25th ranked rushing attack (which is about what I expected with this oline and Gurley out).

More of a concern is the fact that we are the proud owners of the 29th ranked rushing defense.

Do any of you really think Fisher is this clueless? Now, Fisher had to be aware that his players were due for a let down; that Gruden and Snyder were harboring a grudge over that stunt Fisher pulled last year. But ... I don't think he understood how much of a grudge the Redskin players felt over being shutout at home.

I think the best any of us can do is not get too high or too low when we've played 2 games in a 6 game regular season. We beat the Steelers next week and we'll be Superbowl bound according to some...
Our journey starts with winning the West, it's looking like AZ is the only 2-0 team so we're doing ok so far with a tie between us and the 9ers and the Jags starin 0-2 in the face as we sit currently.
At worst there are 3 teams at 1-1 and 1 at 2-0. Far from insurmountable odds
