I'm not willing to throw in the towel but if Goff doesn't lead us to a Super Bowl championship in the next two years, I hope the Rams find another QB.

rebuild the OL, and draft another Georgia RB in this draft or the next. Georgia develops RB like no other school IMHO. Get me a Nick Chubb clone or another Gurley please
I agree but also think that with a great O-line there are numerous QBs available that we could just plug in to the spot with equal success and not have to pay them so much money.
It does seem a tick slower. He isn't snapping the ball out with the same velocity, or at least it seems so. Did you notice anything in the windup?

Look at what Goff has done the last two full seasons. If you think that there are numerous QB's who could make a pro bowl where are they?
No way in hell bro.... the only people i know that think goff is worth a shit are Rams fans.
But still that being said he is probably the 2nd best QB in franchise history....
Any starting QB will signed from now til eternity will be paid as much if not more than Goff is being paid right now. Thats just the way it is for QBs in the NFL.
Goff would be bad ass behind the Niners, Steelers or Patriots O line. Give him ther protection he needs and I wouldn't want anyone else.
I'm no QB guru. I agreed with you a week or so ago I'm not sure if the release is that much longer. It could be as he has to fire the ball into tighter spaces so he loads up to get more velocity. I do think a number of factors have changed this year which have lead to his erratic play.
I do think he is more unsure of where to throw. Defenses could be mixing coverage and are playing tighter coverage. Players aren't getting open as quickly and he is locking into one option.
He hasn't had the time he had in the past. He is getting more pressure up the middle and evener pressure which limits his pocket mobility.
He is pressing because of limited success.
Against the lowly Bengals this year he looked more like the past two years. They didn't get much pressure and played a soft zone. He made some great throws as I think he was more comfortable overall. Defenses are going to keep coming after him and playing tighter coverage. Him and McVay need to adjust.
I think he will bounce back. I would like to see Goff work more on better accuracy when moving around and take advantage of open spaces using his legs. He has to scan the field more and not lock onto one option.

I've been silent after witnessing the destruction the Rams suffered to the Ravens.
This team simply was not ready. I thought the first offensive series was to feel the Ravens defense out...BUT...it became evident that whatever offensive approach McVay prepared...IT WAS NOT GOOD.
Can't blame Goff at all!!! What I think is necessary, is for McVay to give Goff latitude to change plays, sight adjust, or put in "hot reads", where Goff can get the Ram offense in a better situation.
I admit I don't know what latitude Goff does have...but obviously something must be done that employs more getting the TEs and RBs out on LBs. Mismatches that favor the Rams.
No...Goff has not been stellar...but without knowledge of what he's able to do when it comes to audibles, can we really say it's on him?

AZ is no slouch...they're coming on. They are a dangerous 3-7 team...and we know another loss and the Rams may drop from the playoff picture.
What do we see Sunday knowing the Rams are currently outside looking in, with 4 divisional games a season against AZ, the Hags, and the Niners?

I was at the game and had the full view of the field. From memory there were a few wide open receivers that Goff through way off the mark...not even close. It was really difficult to watch. Like, what the hell was with that throw, then again, and again. I'm really down on Goff having seen it with my own eyes.
obviously talking about this year,,, also pro bowl means almost nothing anymore. goff was a replacement for the injured wentz also.
I already stated multiple times that the goff of 2017 and 2018 was good enough to win in the post season.

In QB's that have started every game.. goff has been sacked the 6th least. The offensive line has been better and the passing game hasn't. Partially because we have been playing good defenses and partially because Goff is missing key throws.
Listen I'm cheering for Goff and I hope he catches fire starting sunday... But im finding the excuses to be less and less convincing.

You can't tell me the pass blocking has been better. That sack rate is actually a credit to Goff, not the line.
Goff throws the ball away instead of being sacked.
Jared hasn't been as good this year, but let's not pretend like the line, run game and coaching haven't been screwing him all year, because they very clearly have.
Yeah, he's the QB but it's still a team sport and nowhere around JG can you point to a part of the offense thats played better than a 6-5 team, or an 8-8 team for that matter.
The thing is I just try to go by objective stats and contrast and comparison - I did not say the line has been good... I said it had been better lately - in pass pro, which it has.
That "goff throws the ball away a lot to avoid sacks," first of all I find that to be completely false and tiresome how people just pull stuff out their butts and it becomes fact "see tom brady always had a good offensive line" as an example. From watching every play of every game this year I think that is ridiculous... Goff does not get the ball out quicker or try to avoid sacks more than the average QB.
According to these stats goff is somewhere in the middle of the pack in "time to throw" actually has more time on average to throw.
Notice that Goff also... outside of Josh rosen has the worst "expected completion % in the nfl" which only supports what most of us see - that he misses too many throws he should not.
Also this myth that mcvay has the receivers all running long routes... if you look at these next gen stats you will see that we are just average when it comes to length of routes.
I'm hoping Goff starts lighting it up soon - he is what we got and I wish nothing but the best for the kid. But the excuses are just tiresome, because they are overblown and at times utterly false.

I think the big issue is McVay seeing Havenstein, Blythe, and Allen getting beat like a drum far too often and thus not trusting them to run his full offense.
Goff plays with the Worst Oline in football with a RB that can’t run or catch.
